I was part of the support group for new students at my school. I already volunteered to help Jacob out today since he is new to the school. They would call me down to the office when he got to school, but it was the start of second hour and he wasn't here. I was wondering if he was even coming today or not, even though he mentioned it yesterday. I was pulled out of my thoughts as the speakers went off in the classroom then dismissing me from class. You made your way down the hallway then saw Jacob sitting in the office. When you saw you, he stood up and grabbed a paper out of his pocket.

"So, late to your first day of school eh?" You laughed and looked at his schedule.

"Yeah I may have slept in a little... Lot" he laughed.

"Seriously? How Is this even possible? We have every single class together. I guess this will be easy." You said. "I'm the very last locker of them all, yours is in the row in front of me. I'll just tell the lady in the office that it's broken, so your locker can be the empty one next to mine." We went back to the office, so have the lady switch his locker. After that, he put all of the stuff in his locker and headed to third hour- Social Studies.

Third and fourth hour went by really fast. But Jacob seemed really overwhelmed by the amount of information and work thrown at him. Although it made sense, since it's the end of the year and were in the middle of a lesson.

"Did you bring a lunch or are you buying?" I asked Jacob.

"I just brought a lunch." He replied.

"Okay good me too. You want to sit with me or make your own friends?" I laughed.

"I'm sticking with you. You're my only friend but that's okay were besties!" We both broke out laughing. I headed to the table I have sat at every year, there were still enough seats for both of us to sit. Emma and Nathan introduced themselves to Jacob. They are my two closest friends. Then Ashley and Cody came over and met Jacob too. They aren't as close as I am with Emma and Nathan, but we still hang out when we can. We made conversation between the six of us, until it was time to go to fifth hour.

"So this class can be hard work, but the teacher is really nice. That basically makes the class easier. She's really lenient and she helps you whenever you need it." I told Jacob as we sat down in the back row.

"You have all hour to do your study guide. You may work with a partner as long as you don't screw around the whole time." Mrs. Miller said to the class. She passed out the study guides then saw Jacob.

"Oh welcome to the school Jacob! We are having test tomorrow. If you're a quick learner, you can work with Sydney and learn it tonight, or you can start reading the next chapter. Whatever you're more comfortable with, it's okay with me!"

"I'll just start learning the new chapter so I can be a little ahead! Thank you so much." Jacob told her.

"Yeah smart move. You'll have more time to catch up in other classes." I told him.

It was the end of the day and now you were walking outside with Jacob to get picked up.

"Wait are you getting picked up?" I asked Jacob confused.

"Ummm, that's a good question, I don't know the answer to that either..." He started laughing.

"Okay well my brother is picking me up, so I guess you can just come to my house, and we can work on homework while were at it."

"Alright cool I'll just text my mom." He said. My brother Nick pulled up and I led Jacob behind me to the car. We both got in the back seat so it wouldn't be awkward.

"Hey so who are you?" Nick drew his eyebrows together.

"Well you would know if you weren't obsessed with your girlfriend and you would've come with us on Easter. This is Jacob, he's new to the school so I'm helping him out." I explained.

"Ahh gotcha. Sydney doesn't bring any boys home usually. She must like you." He laughed and looked at me in the rear view mirror.

"Nickkkkkk stop it! I don't like him!" You couldn't help but to start laughing. Jacob looked at you smirking, but obviously joking.

"Aww Sydney! You're blushing! My litttle sister is growing up so fast!" He shouted excitedly. This is crazy.

"That's so cute!" Jacob pinched my cheek and we all laughed so hard it hurt.

When we got home we went to my room to do our homework. My mom and dad luckily weren't home yet, they work until around five or six. My dad would be fuming mad if he knew Jacob was here, but my mom wouldn't mind at all.

I let him copy a lot of my notes, and we quizzed each other on a few things. I gave him more notes to study in Science when I'm taking the test. It was a lot of work but we got it done in two hours. It seems like a long time, but for the amount of homework we had, we went really fast.

"Are you hungry? I think my mom just came in the door and she'll probably make dinner." I told him.

"Alright cool should we go downstairs now?" He asked while putting his books away.

"Sure lets go!" I held my arm out and he linked his with mine, giving each other a cheesy smile. And we walked down the stairs. We may have only known each other for twenty four hours, yet it felt like I've known him my whole life.
