Chapter 10:
When I woke up the next morning I heard this banging sound that would not stop. I went down stairs in my pjs, which consists of a totally covering bra and panties... So you could guess why I was so mad to find out it was only the guys repairing the cabinet. So as I was about to yell for one of the boys, you know, the yell that consists of a red face and vein popping out of your neck that causes people to stare... If they aren't already. I'm guessing it's not every day the workers get supermodels standing in front of them in their bra and panties, even if they do have bed head, so that's why one of them spoke up.
"Uh, miss? How high would you like the cabinet? And would you like a jacket?"
Startled at the totally nice question I answered softly.
"Just make it equal to the rest and no thanks... I'm about to go get dressed, I, uh, thought someone was dying so I came down as is."
I gestured to myself and let out a dry laugh and turned awkwardly to the stairs. When I bumped into Charlie I grabbed his shirt, drug him to my room and threw him on the bed.
"Woah if you wanted me all you have to do is say so. Gosh, you don't have to drag me... Hey, you're naked."
I glared at him.
"You could have told me workers were coming to fix the cabinet! So I wouldn't have to run down the stairs naked in front of them!"
He was about to say something but must have decided against it since his mouth was moving like a fish struggling for air. Finally he decided to say something.
"Sooo... Wanna make out?"
I smirked and walked over, still in my bra and undies, and pushed him down on the bed and crawled halfway on top of him and said,
"No."
And quickly crawled off to go change in my closet into a beige black outlined bikini with a pair of cut off jeans. I walked back out and Charlie was still sitting on my bed playing with my iPhone sitting on my nightstand, probably looking at my texts, as if I would have anything to hide.
"Now, I'm gonna go observe to workers and pay them. By the time I get back you better be out of my room handing me my phone."
I walked downstairs to thank the workers and paid them to send them on their way. I wonder who called them in the first place, seeming as I had forgotten in the midst of the most amazing date possible. My heart still pounds when I think of it. I went back upstairs to where Charlie is standing in front of my door holding out my phone.
I tugged on the sides of his shirt to pull him closer to me so I could reach up and lock my lips to his, our lips fit so perfectly together and moved so in sync it felt meant to be. Like I was made for kissing him. He eventually let out a small moan when I slipped my tongue between his lips and explored every inch of his mouth. I don't really know how long we stood there like that, it felt like hours, when we heard someone clear their throat. We pulled away so quickly there was a sucking sound, I whirled around and gasped when I saw Jesse standing there with a tan brown haired girl with blue eyes. She had on red lipstick, short light wash shorts, and a floral shirt, with black Converse. Still startled that Jesse actually brought a girl to meet us, I walked over and shook her hand,
"Hey! Sorry... We thought we were alone. What's your name, sweetheart?"
Since I'm the owner of the house I felt obligated to call her "sweetheart" like mothers do.
"Hi, we're sorry too. I'm Joyce."
I winked at Jesse, which made him blush heavily,
"Welcome to my home, please make yourself comfortable."
