I finishing mopping my last two tiles and make my way over to the closet. My back is slightly sore, as well as my arms, but it's nothing too severe.

If anything, i need this exercise.

The necklace Zayn had given me poked me while i was working, so i decided to untuck it from my shirt. The silver reflected the light from all sides, making it noticeable that i was wearing something.

Since lunch was coming so soon, i decided i could just sneak to the basement while i was already downstairs.

The only problem was that i didn't know how to get downstairs, plus with all the nurses i could be spotted.

Ill try anyways, what could go wrong?

"Yea, i think her name was Georgia rose." Florence recalled, pursing her lips in deep thought.

"Wow." Alice muttered through her food, astonished. She was currently feasting on another set of johnny cakes.

"Oh! And her father was a dentist!" The brown haired girl shook her head, telling all about this girl.

Georgia?

"Perhaps you mean Julia?" I offer, tilting my head. I had no idea what the conversation was about, but i thought to give my two cents anyways.

"No," Alice shook her head and shrugged, "I haven't seen her in a while, actually."

"Yea, neither have I," Florence agreed, looking down at the ground and mutters, "she was a tramp anyways."

"I haven't seen Lisa in a while either." I throw out, wondering if they know the whereabouts of her.

"The woman with day fever? She must have gone to Dr. Fear's for medicine." Florence rationalized, shrugging as she didn't know much of Lisa.

"She was pregnant, she told me upfront." I try again, hoping she can realize that Lisa didn't have day fever.

"I see," Alice nods and begins to explain, "She must have been sent home and released from her contract. Working here with some of the conditions is unsafe for the fetus."

Or maybe, perhaps, a cage in the basement?

"That makes sense." I agree, going along with her story.

I cant let them find out what i know.

We sit and chat for a while until lunch is over; and just like last time, i wait until everyone has left the cafeteria before i make my move.

I tell Alice i'm helping the lunch ladies clean, since she was curious as to why i stayed behind.

Once shes gone, i make my way out. I exit the back doors, and walk towards smaller centers that are scattered.

Maybe the entrance is hidden, so staff and patients wont wander down.

The cries and moans of the patients are much louder when they aren't muffled by the ceiling that separates us. As well as the putrid smell of urine, vomit, and sweat. I almost gag a few times, this toxic air isn't good for anyone.

No wonder Mr. Malik's office is upstairs, its a mad house down here.

I enter a room with a pool in the center that was currently being used as a gigantic bathtub, the staff would stay on the ladders and try their best to clean the ones in the water. The water was murky and odorous, making me think that it hasn't been resupplied in a couple days.
