Chapter 6:

Mariyah's Pov:
I passed out on my bed last night after I showered and put a wrap on my arm. The next morning i woke up facing my suitcase. My eyes were drawn to the bloody towel lying on the floor. I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh. My arm was stinging like a bitch but i knew i couldn't mess with it, that would cause bleeding again. I sat up and looked around the room. It was warm and the sun was shinning in the large window. I managed to drag myself out of bed, taking 15 minutes. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and looked at myself. Jesus my upper arms looked giant. I groaned as i finished brushing my teeth. I grabbed my phone to check the time and it was already 11:43 am. I snatched a white cropped hoodie out of my bag and threw on a pair of grey sweats. I walked to the door and pulled it open, As i walked down the hall i slipped my head in Jordan's room. She was passed out hidden underneath the large comforter. When i left her room I thought i should try to organize the house a bit. I stepped in the living room and glanced at the boxes. I changed my mind immediately. I headed back to my room when there was a knock at the door. When i opened the door there was a man holding a vase with 24 red roses inside he also had a large bear in his other arm. "Uhh what's this" i said slowly accepting the gifts. "Delivery for a Ms. Buckley " He Said. handing my a paper to sign. As he left i closed the door and rushed to read the note on the stake coming from the vase. It read "Good Morning Beautiful. I Hope You Slept Well. Heres A Little Present For You To Wake Up To Darling. Yours, Carter." A slight smile came upon my face and I carried the large gifts to my room and placed them on my dresser barely fitting them. I went to text Carter and there was a Good Morning Text, but it wasn't from carter it was from Hayes. "Thanks (:" I replied. I found Carter's number in my phone and thanked him for the lovely flowers and the bear and before i knew it Hayes had replied back. "Would you maybe want to do something later with me and Mahogany?" I read. "Yeah. Sure." I typed. "Alright We Will Be There Around 12:20" The phone screen read. "K" I said before slipping on a pair of white Vans. I went to the bathroom and put on some mascara before i heard a honk outside the house. I unplugged my phone and ran outside. I flung the car door open and hopped in the back seat next to the small pig. "Thats Notorious." Mahogany said and started down the street. Mahogany was the only girl in Magcon. She was beautiful. She had long curly brown-orange hair and wore a wired head band that formed cat ears. She had a great sense of fashion, wear a pair of high waisted jeans and a blue cropped fresh top and a pair of blue Vans. She had a small gao between her two front teeth but i oddly completed her look amazingly. i envied every beautiful thing about her. I rolled down the window and let the wind blow on my face. Hayes rolled it up a bit with his control system up front and laughed. I gave him a playful grin and shook my head. My phone vibrated moments later. "Of course beautiful. Its just a little treat for the amazing night." The text read. I smiled and sent him back a heart & then locked my phone. "Where are we going" I asked looking at the shore across the street. "Uhh TacoBell?" Mahogany said questioning Hayes and he nodded. As we pulled in the drive though Mahogany rolled down her window. "What do you want ?" She asked Hayes. "2 Doritos Locos Tacos and a Sprite. What about you Mariyah?" He said turning back to me. "Oh I'm not hungry. Thanks though." I said to Hayes as I was replying to Carter. "You sure?" Mahogany asked. I nodded and gave her a grin. I was actually hungry, really hungry actually. I just didn't feel like eating in front of multiple people I had just met the day before. I never liked eating in front of people. I feel like a fatass and everybody is sitting there just thinking the same thing. I was surprised I ate that sandwich in front of Carter. "Okay Mariyah, I need your help with my shirt designs for the next concert." she said passing me back a binder of ideas for designs. "I'm not sure if i should do the cropped hoodie with the car ears on the hood that say LOX on the front, or the crop tops with me drawn on it." I looked through all the designs. "Why don't you add the cropped hoodies and the onesies to your online merch. Then sell the crop tops and the sweats with your name down the side at the next meet and greets?" i suggested. "Thats actually... A really good idea!" She said smiling at me through the review mirror. I smiled at her and set the binder next to me. Soon we pulled into a large parking lot and a big sign said "Welcome To Birch Aquarium". Mahogany parked up front between the two handicapped parking spaces. We all got out and walked inside. A man walked up the us smiling and hugged Mahogany a big hug. "Hey Mark." She said being squeezed. Mark was a close friend of Mahogany's mother. After they had a short conversation Mahogany joined us again. "You ready?" She asked mischievously. "For what?" I asked. "Come on" they both pulled me up the long staircase. We ended up in a large dome room with much cleaning equipment, and diving gear including oxygen tanks. "What are we doing up here?" I asked sittin in a black computer chair. "We are going to be doing a little diving today." she said removing her makeup with face cleaning pads. "You down?" She said throwing me the pads. I though a moment and it actually seemed really fun. "Hell yeah!" I said, taking a face pad out and wiping of my mascara. "Here" hayes threw me a diving suit. "There's some new bikinis in the back incase you didn't bring one. They always have backup. Find one to wear underneath." he said taking his shirt off. His body was exceptionally muscular for his age. I stood there starring at him. As he turned around to grab his suit his back muscles flexed. Back muscles were a big turn on for me. He turned around and his eyes met mine starring at his body. I looked away as fast as I could and rushed to the back to get a bikini and get my suit on. The suit complemented my body nicely. It made my stomach look smaller, causing my boobs to look bigger and my butt looked bigger. I put my hair in a long ponytail. I walked to the front room and Hayes smiled at me. "You look nice" He said. I started to blush. "Uh, thanks." I said shyly. Mahogany came out next with her hair in a bun at the top of her head. "Okay let's get these oxygen tanks on. Hayes lifted one up and Mahogany put it on her back and tested it. He picked up mine and got closer than he had to Mahogany's rear. I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure if he was doing it intensionally. Hayes threw his tank on next and we both tested the equipment. We all put on a pair of goggles and fins and walked over to the big opening in the floor. It was the entrance to the whole aquarium. Hayes sat at the edge of the tank and then hopped down. Mahogany followed after. I sat down and slowly slid in the large tank opening. "Let's go!" Mahogany said pulling her goggles over her eyes and nose and taking a large inhale of oxygen. Hayes and I went down after her. We swam down and over a hallway of people looking up at us. Little kids waving and smiling. Hayes stopped and waved at the young kids Skylynn's age then caught up to us. A group of flounder swam by me. It was so fascinating. I felt like i was i the ocean and the whole world didn't matter. It was so peaceful. The underwater radio was playing "Unchained Melody". I hadn't felt this good in a long time. I took a breathe of oxygen and smiled at Mahogany and Hayes. I swam to a group of sea turtles and ran my hand across their shells. All the creatures were beautiful. I was amazed by how large the tank was. there was so much to see. We dived for about another 45 minutes after that and then showered and changed back into our clothes. It was such an amazing day. Mahogany and Hayes were really chill and I had a great time hanging out with them. "Hey, the whole group is having a bonfire tonight you should come, it's at Jacob's." Mahogany said. "Yeah that sounds fun i'll see if I can." I said as we pulled up to my house. "Thanks I had a lot of fun you guys." I said getting out. "No problem." Mahogany said through Hayes' window. I went inside and mom was sitting on the living room floor organizing. "Hey baby, can you hand me that hammer or the counter?" She said sorting out the famed painting. I handed her the hammer and sat down. "What did you do all day?" She said looking at me. I shrugged "Just hung out with some friend's" I said looking at the painting. "You go swimming?" She asked. "Uhh yeah we did." I said standing up. "I got invited to this bonfire later and I was wondering if it would be okay if I could go." I asked standing up. "When do I ever have a problem with you going anywhere honey? Just keep your phone on just incase I need to call you. Alright?" She said looking at me. "Thanks mom, love you!" I said running back to my room. "Hey what did I say?!" She said yelling back to my room. "Phone on!" I said brushing my hair out. "Okay. Be good, Im heading over to your uncle's I'll probably be back before you but incase in not I made you a key it's the table. Take it with you." She said walking out the door. I put on a pair of high waisted shorts barely covering my scars and threw my sweats in my hamper. I found a black shirt rolled short sleeve that said California on a picture of a palm tree and put it on. I wiped I went to the bathroom and unwrapped my arm and too the bandages off. I dabbed the cuts with rubbing alcohol which stung like a bitch and put scar repairing cream on and put on new bandages and re-wrapped my arm. I hopped nobody asked about my arm and if they did I would say I burned myself making cookies. I put on a fish tail ring that went down my middle finger and went down into a bracelet. I brushed my hair out and curled it with the wand my mom had given to me last Christmas. It was 5:00pm when I looked at my phone. I grabbed a gold metal leaf head band out of my bag and put it on and then called Hayes. "Hello?" I heard his voice from the other line. "Uhh, heyy. Are the bonfire plans still on or?" I asked. "Yeah they are, want me to pick you up?" He asked "Aren't you a little to young to be driving?" I asked with a laughing tone. "Only if I'm asked. I'll be there in 10" He said and then hung up. I went outside and sat on the porch. It was really nice out and the sun set was beautiful. I waited about 3 minutes more and then a black Ford Focus pulled up. It was Hayes, soI walked over to the car and got in the passenger side seat. "Hey." I said putting on my seat belt. As we were about to leave Jordan ran up to my window. I sighed and rolled it down. "What do you want?" I asked annoyed. "Where are you going?" She asked me. "A bonfire. Why?" I said glaring at her. "Can I maybe come with?" She asked. "Absolutely not." I said starting to roll up the window. Before I rolled it up I heard Jordan yell. "Oh come on pleaaaase!" She begged. I sighed and looked at Hayes. "Can she?" I asked. He laughed and nodded. I looked at Jordan. She was wearing a short floral dress that zipped in the back, with a tight bun and a pair of lace up oxford flats. "Get in." I said. She squealed and hopped i the back. "Hey I'm Jordan, the pretty sister." She said smiling at Hayes. "Uhh, hi I'm Hayes" He said back with a laugh. "Cool babe." She said taking a quick selfie. When we arrived at Jacob's it was 5:34pm. He had a really fucking nice place. I felt like I should have worn something nicer not expecting to be at a royal mansion. Not really but this shit was nice. When we got to the backyard I realized I was dressed fine. When Carter and my eyes met we both smiled. He got up and gave me a tight hug. All my guard fell down as soon as his arms wrapped around my torso and he spun me around. He put me down so people wouldn't stare "Thanks for the flowers." I whispered in his ear and kissed his cheek softly and secretly so nobody could see. "No problem." He said walking me to an outdoor couch he had been sitting on. "You guys, this is Jordan my little sister. I hope you don't mind if she tags along." I said irritated. They all said it was fine and the "party" started. "Shawn is on his way with pizza and the stuff to make s'mores." JackJack said. "Okay." I said sitting by Carter almost on his leg, but far enough away to not be. He put his arm around my lower waist and pulled me close to him. I didn't know if anybody noticed, but I didn't care. "You look beautiful." He whispered in my ear still starring at the fire. "Well thank you." I said quietly. He just pulled my waist a little more to show he heard me.

Jordan's Pov:

Mariyah and Carter were all horned up on the couch and i was sitting at the picnic table on my phone, alone. I mean somebody could at least try to fucking make it seem like they knew i was there. Hayes was to busy not trying to focus on Mariyah and Carter. I could tell because of how he looked at her in the car and how he looked at Carter when he took her attention away. I just sat at the table and put my ear buds in. Moments later a kid walked in the yard with 5 pizza boxes and s'mores. "Pizza's here!" He yelled. He had the prettiest brown eyes I had ever seen. His jaw line was amazing and he had just the right amount of muscle. I thought he Would ignore me like everyone else had but as soon as he saw me he came and sat by me and my heart dropped.
"Why you all alone stranger?" He asked in a sexy bad boy tone. I could tell he wasn't a bad boy but I liked how he sounded like it. "Because my sister is getting horny up in the corner, and I guess I'm invisible to everyone else. Thats why." I said smirking at him with I little pout. "Well I'm Shawn and I definitely won't pretend you're invisible." He said smiling at me. I started to blush and smiled back at him. He had great teeth and perfect lips. I could imagine kissing them. "So how old are you?" He said taking one of my headphones and putting it in his ear. "14, but don't call me a baby because I'm not." I said before he could respond. "Haha, I wasn't planning on it. I'm 15" He said. There was no way he was 15. "No way." I said looking over at him. "Yeah. People tend to mistake me as a few years older." He replied. I could see why He looked like he could be 18. He had brown shaggy hair, brown eyes, and a tan complexion. "Want some pizza?" He asked. I shook my head and looked at the fire. "Soo I'm just going to ask. Could I maybe get your number?" He asked shyly. I couldn't believe HE was asking ME for MY number. "Yeah of course." I said bragging his phone from him and entering my number making sure it was right. "There." I said handing him his phone. he smiled and got up and left. I just sat there looking at the fire smiling. What the hell just happened?
