Chapter 17

When Tina woke up the next day in the embrace of Mike, she knew it was the right time. She had to ask him. But the only thing stopping her was the thought that he would lie to her so she wouldn't be upset. And obviously she couldn't be mad at him for that but she wanted to be. She wanted him to tell her everything. Even the stuff she knew he wouldn't say.

Maybe he thought she wouldn't notice him and his slight differences, but she did. And she was really concerned.

Tina was abruptly cut off from her thoughts, by Mike stirring behind her. Quickly trying to pretend to fall asleep, and be caught by Mike, she decided it was now or never.

"Hey Mike?"

"Yeah babe?"

"Can I ask you a few questions? Please answer them honestly even if you don't want to, I promise no matter what I won't get mad or upset."

"O-okay" Mike said nervously.

"So while I was in the coma something happened to you and I don't know what it is and I'm really concerned, because even though you probably don't think so, I notice everything about you, I know you have been off lately. Especially last night, after the song I saw something in your eyes that you weren't with me, and I need to know why? What happened while I was out?"

"I really hoped you wouldn't notice T, but it was just a dream I had it was nothing-"

"Michael Robert Chang Jr tell me right now what happened in this dream."

"Okay fine. Only because I love you. I had a few dreams, so first I had one that you died and it was one of the scariest things to ever happen to me, but the next one was worse. It felt so real. I thought it was real.

So what happened was in the dream I had 'woken up' from the previous dream of you dying, and realized it was a dream, and you were awake, talking to Jenna and Harry, but you didn't know who I was. You remembered everyone and everything except me, and it was miserable. But then to make things worse, you fell in love with Harry. And of course I was happy that you two were happy, but I couldn't handle it. I know I told you guys that if you ever fell out of love with me I would let you go, but I could never imagine it being that painful, and it wasn't even real. So after about a month or two, in the date of our one year anniversary, you and Harry got engaged, and you still didn't know who I was, and Harry stopped talking to me, he forgot about me just like you. Of course Jenna loved the two of you together, so she forgot about me too, and my parents forgot they had a child, I had nothing. If I still had you none of the other stuff would have mattered but I didn't. So after school that day, I went for a run in the cliffs, and I didn't stop running, until I stopped."

"Mike..."

"You don't have to say anything, I promise I would never do that to myself, let's just go back to sleep and we have a big day ahead of us, now that I told you I can finally get over it, and move on. I love you Tina and nothing will ever change that."

"I love you too Mikey, please never do anything when you don't have me, after all we don't live forever."

"But we have infinity."

"For infinity and beyond."

"Tina did you seriously just quote Buzz Lightyear in our cute moment?"

"You know I did!"

"I love you T."

"I love you too."

And so the pair fell into their blissful sleep inside the arms of each other, with nothing but love and happiness in their hearts, minds, and lives. And for them, that moment, couldn't be more, well
