"Hi Cody." A voice said so sudden Cody jumped almost shat himself as he turned his head towards the side making eye contact with a straight black haired girl with green eyes.
"Sup." The girl said giving Cody a head a nod.
"Sup, Iris." Cody replied giving a head nod back.
"You trying to find the house?" Iris said in a sarcastic tone
"Yyyyyyyyyyyeah." Cody said with a defeated tone
"Follow me then." Iris said with a sigh
Cody followed behind Iris as she lead the way though the deep grove of plants not taking long before they found the path that lead straight to the house. Neither Cody or Iris said anything as they walked in complete silence until the sound of giggling and laughter started coming from the deep grove of plants in front of them. Iris stopped walking as a group of little of boys rushed across the path in front of them into the plants on the other side.
As the boys quickly went back out of sight Iris quickly screamed "STOP!"
"COME BACK HERE!"
"What, Iris were playing?" The boys said still hidden in the deep forest of plants.
"Dad, told me to come get yall for lunch."
"Oh, alright." The boys said as they emerged from the plants and started walking in a line in front of Iris towards the house.
As the group walked on the path it didn't take much longer as they got to the house only to be greeted by a man in his mid fifty's with long uncut hair and a care free hippie personality with a warm loving smile that only trinity's father could muster.
"Ok guys get ready to eat." He said as the 7 little boys walked passed him into the house.
"Iris, can you go help your brothers and sisters set up the table for the younger kids."
"Yeah, I guess." Iris said walking the same way at the boys.
Well, Happy Birthday Cody my boy."
"Thank you, but ,my birthdays not until tomorrow."
"Oh, is that so then Happy day before birthday day."
"Thanks, wheres Trinity?"
"Last time I think I saw her and Micheal heading to her room."
"Ok." Cody said before walking into the house and quickly looking around the entrance before turning back and asking "Wheres her room again?"
"Just go straight down the hallway until you come to the stairs then head up the stairs and then the third room on the left."
"Alright" Cody said as he turned from Trinity's dad and began walking down the long hallway, while he walked the strong smell of incents and burning candles filled his nose. Cody walked finally coming to the stairs heading up them and walking three doors before coming to the room. The door was cracked open a little as Cody heard the voices of Trinity and Micheal talking.
"Trinity, I really like you."
"And I like you to isn't that why were friends."
"No I really like you, I want you to be my girlfriend."
"Yeah I know what you meant and I really like you to but what about Cody?"
"What about him he's my bestfriend he'll be happy for us?"
"I don't know I just don't sense something is happening with him and we should wait a little while before we do anything official."
"Oh, alright."
"I really do like you and I would be happy to be your girlfriend."
The sound of smacking lips follow as Trinity stops talking. Cody hears the sound and looks through the crack seeing Trinity and Micheal kissing on her bed. They soon stop and stare at each other giving Cody the chance to knock on the door.
