Happy Birthday Part 4

A few seconds passed before Trinity's voice came from the room, "It's open." 

Cody hearing Trinity's voice began to reach out pushing the door open, but as it opened something felt different inside of him as if his chest had been hollowed out. 

"Hey man you made it." Michael said 

"I'm late though it's almost 5 o' clock." Cody said with a slight frown 

"Better then never right?" Trinity said with a smile 

"Yeah, man." Michael quickly added 

"So what are we going to do?" 

"It's your day man whatever you decide on is cool but I have to go home in a few to get ready for church." 

"Well let's just chill then isn't that big a deal to me anyway just one day out of the year." 

"OK, but I have something in the backyard you both have to see." 

"What is it?" Cody asked 

But before he can get a response Trinity has already gotten up and made her way into the hallway, Cody and Micheal quickly follow behind her both secretly hoping to not get lost. As a minute or two pass trinity has lead both of them down a flight of stairs and are about to pass a room with a giant dining table covered in dirty dishes. Cody looks into the room as he notices the table is big enough to fit at least fifty or more people.  

"One second guys, I want to go see if my mom and dad need any help cleaning up the back door is just  

down this hallway." Trinity says before going into the dining room 

The two begin to walk down the hallway as Cody says to Michael. 

"Hey Micheal you ever notice how it's almost impossible to not get lost in this house without her or  

someone in her family leading us around?" Cody said whispering to Micheal 

"Since you mentioned it, Yeah."  

"Weird, right?" 

"Yeah man but its Trinity her and her family aren't the average day family she has over fifty brothers and five sisters all from six pregnancies and all the boys are identical to each other."

"Really man, over fifty I knew she had a lot but that's extreme. What are the chances of that happening 1 in a billion?"  

"With God anything is Possible." Michael said as he reached up and grabbed hold of Cody's shoulder. 

"Don't touch me Nigger!" Cody yelled slapping Micheals hand off his shoulder. 

Cody quickly said "Sorry." Not knowing what made him snap like that.  

Michaels face went blank not knowing what to do as he stared back at Cody. 

"Man you know how I feel about that religious stuff it's good and everything but it's not really my thing." 

Cody and Micheal both remain quiet for the rest of walk both not knowing what to say to the other but as they got to the sliding back door.

Micheal was the first to speak "We made it without getting lost."  

'Yeah, true." Cody said as they both released a small chuckle.  

Cody being the one closes to the door reached out and grabbed hold of the handle and begin to slide  

it but as he does he catches a quick glimpse of himself in the mirror and for a second could of swore something was different about himself his skin looked a different color more of a reddish color even more red then when he would get embarrassed. The color completely engulfed his body as he noticed himself still changing in the reflection as sharp points begin to grow from his head and an evil smirk formed on his face. 

"CODY." Michael yelled causing Cody to come back to reality. 

"What?" Cody said as he noticed he was now lying down on the ground looking up at Michael who was screaming at him. 

"Are you okay you fainted when you tried to open the door?" 

"Fainted?" 

"Yeah, you were trying to open the door but when you did a blank look grew on your face and you fell to the ground."  

"That's impossible I was just looking at my reflection in the glass." 

"Well, how are you feeling now?" 

"I don't feel any different I think I'm ok."  

"Alright, that's good." Michael said reaching his arm down to Cody."  

Cody grabbed hold as Michael attempted to lift him up but it was not go, as Michael's lack of muscles and skinny arms were no match for Cody's overwhelming body mass. Cody attempted to help out but knew the situation was just embarrassing them both. 

"Cody, don't take this the wrong way but you should probable lose a few pounds." 

"I guess I deserved that after what I said." 

"What did you say?"  

"You don't remember?" 

"No idea at all." 

"Oh, then alright." 

A perplexed look appeared on Cody's face as he thought did I image the whole thing but before he could think too much about it Trinity came from the Hallway. 

"Hi, Cody why are you lying on the floor?" 

"Um, I guess you could say I'm just lying around like always."  

The three of them looked back at each other before bursting out laughing. 

"Now, can you two help me up?" 

Trinity and Michael help Cody up as they open the back door and go outside.
