To The Last Drop

I'd like to pretend iced tea is booze, Like whisky, bourbon, rum or any of that type.

I'd like to pretend it tastes bitter.
And scrunch up my face as if it really is.
Like it really burns holes in my chest and throat.

I'd like to pretend like I'm getting drunk,
Like I'm really getting numb by the second,
Like I couldn't feel anything.
That for just a few moments,
I couldn't think of anything,
Couldn't worry about anything else.

I'd like to pretend that I'm really drinking.
I like the feeling that I'm somewhat rebellious.
It fills you up,
Sets you on fire,
As if that "liquid courage" is really working.

Pretending is so much fun it's addicting.
Well until the "booze" lasts.
