Assumptions.

It makes a person's mind foggy,
Shutting the world out,
Focusing on just one particular premise,
Eventually leading to close-mindedness.

Assumptions.

It makes a person expect for something to happen,
To hope too much,
To trust that the odds will be on their side,
To make him feel like his world revolves around that one theory,
Eventually leading to the crushing of his self-esteem and untouched perception of the world.

Assumptions.

It is such a deadly thing,
Yet everyone falls into it's trap,
Tied up helplessly on it's snare,
Thinking about the day that they once had a peaceful mind,
Swearing to themselves that they'll never fall to it again,
But the inevitable comes,
And they get captured once more,
And resumes the cycle.
