It was a beautiful day at Mako island, the water was just right, and the climate was perfect just as Kaiko remembered from her childhood. Kaiko was lying in bed in the room, recapping all the thing that had happened recently, especially all the dreams and flashbacks and trying to figure out what those things mean. Then, she decided to take this matter between herself and her parents to seek proper advice. After, 10 minutes of talking about what has been happening to Kaiko the past few days, and how its having a big affect on her daily routines, she was about to witness the unexpected. "Kaiko, I think its about time you knew about all this, and should've told you when you were younger." Her mother said, as she thinks of a perfect way to explain it. Kaiko was so worried, that she literally stopped breathing for a second, she had no idea what her mother was going to tell her own and only child. "please mum, you have to tell me I need to know what it is, so I can put an end to it. That way, I can have some family bonding time without any problems." Kaiko said as she was waiting in suspense, and hoping what her mother was about to say is some kind of joke."Kaiko, you're not like everyone else in this world, you're different from all the rest, you're actually a mermaid." When Kaiko her that word, she began to feel dizzy, and felt like she was about to faint. After, she ended the phone call with her mother questions began swarming in her head. How is going to explain this to her husband, especially to Ant and Fontaine?( Note: Mostly Ant because, he always wanted to see a real live mermaid.) Should she take the risk and tell her family, or keep it to herself? All theses questions is just building up more stress within Kaiko, and that was the whole point of this family vacation not only to do things together as a family but also to relieve stress. Kaiko was now wearing a nice pink Hawaiian themed tank top, blue shorts, and a pair of plain blue sandals. As Kaiko was heading outside to meet her family, she manged to find Ant sitting on the deck reading a book about the geography and all sorts of legends about Mako. "What you got there Ant?" Kaiko said, as she sat down next to her son and peeking at the book he was reading, Ant seem to noticed her. "Its a book I found about everything you need to know about Mako, but there was one legend that really caught my attention." Ant said as he flipped a couple pages to find the really interesting legend, and handed the book to his mother. Kaiko was pretty surprised on what she had just read, especially when the word, mermaids caught her attention. Ant always believed that mermaids exist, and want to show proof the existence of mermaids. But ant has no idea that his very own mother is a mermaid, and if he were to find out that her mother is a real mermaid he would be very excited. " You've been here before right?" Ant asked. "Of course I did Ant, many times and out of all the times I have been to Mako, I haven't sighted a single mermaid." Kaiko tried explaining it in the most nicest of ways, but managed."Fine mom have it your way, but I'm not going to give up finding mermaids even if it takes all day." Ant said, with great pride. Kaiko couldn't help but give out a tiny giggle, just seeing her son sit there trying to search for mermaids, but she highly doubts it. Later that day, the entire family join together, as their toes were comfortably snuggle in the sand, while watching the most beautiful sunset ever seen. As the sun was setting, Will couldn't help but notice something glowing from his wife's chest, Ant and Fontaine notice it as well. "Hey Kaiko, if you don't know there is something glowing from your chest." Will said, letting his wife know that she was aware of the dim glow on her chest. "Oh nothing to worry about Will, it my pendant that I felt like wearing." Kaiko said, as she takes off the necklace and show it to the rest of her family. "It is nice and all mum, but neither of us haven't seen you wear it, you know till now." Fontaine said, as she takes a quick look at her mother's pendant and then passes it to her brother. " Yeah mom, who gave that to you?" Ant asked, as he had a quick look at his mother's pendant which gave out a pleasant glow. That was at that point Kaiko's expression changed, she never want to mention anything about her past, and thinking about it just makes her tear up. But Ant wanted to who gave her the necklace, so she might as well tell the truth. "It was a birthday gift from my mom, I had it for as long as I can remember, it reminds me of my father." Kaiko said, as tears started streaming down her cheeks, Will lean in and hugged her and the siblings joined in as well. They had no idea that mentioning something like that could make her so sad. "I think its about time we all head back inside." Will said, as he washes the sand off his feet, Ant and Fontaine did the same, but Kaiko had plans of her own in mind. She wanted to know if it was true, that she is a real live mermaid. "Actually you guys go ahead, I'm gonna stay here for a little while longer." Kaiko said, just sitting there staring at the beautiful view. "Take all the time you need, princess." Will said, as he kisses her cheek, and leaves with the children. Now Kaiko is finally alone, which gives her a chance to see her true identity for the first time. It was a good thing she was wearing a swimsuit under her clothes. As she takes of her clothes and puts on her necklace, Kaiko sits down near a rock that is between shallow and deep water and places her feet in the water. That was when the real magic begins, she transformed from a loving human into a beautiful mermaid with a blue tail, and a matching bikini. Most importantly, she doesn't need to use a mask to breathe because, Kaiko can now breathe underwater. About an hour later, Will decided to check on his wife since she had been outside for a while. That was until, he noticed something familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. "Is that kaiko?" Will said, in shock.
