It's a very sunny day and Felipinas is in her room silently reading a book that Chile suggested for her to read. She was already done with her chores for today, so she does this hobby of reading when she got this spare of free time. Suddenly someone knocked at her door, she immediately responded and ask who was the person on the other side of the door. It was none other than her kidnapper---well, her so-called guardian her Pàpa España.
España greeted her and immediately ask straight if she busy. Luckily, Felipinas is almost finished reading so she answered with pure honesty. Its been so many years since the day when Felipinas was taken by this man. Three hundred thirty-three years to be exact. She has already grown much and learned more about his culture, sadly she seems to forget her own culture. Since España showed her too much kindness, Felipinas finally accepted him as a friend and as a guardian. Through the days they went into something, Felipinas started to like him, she trusted him.
"This is strange, I wonder why." Felipinas thought to herself. To think of it, it was really weird and strange for her that this man is wasting his precious time with her. "It's not worth it." she muttered. He should be somewhere else doing business.
"¿Hey, Felipinas?" he called. It's been a while since he spoke to her. Felipinas attention turns to him, she asked what while tilting her head slightly. "¿Would you forgive Pàpa if he did something bad to you?" he asked in some sort of a joking way.
To be honest, Felipinas doesn't know the answer to that, of course, she will be mad. "Yes." said Felipinas and turn her head to the window. "Because there must be a reason why you did that right po?" said Felipinas and gave him a gentle smile.
To be honest, Felipinas doesn't know how should she answer his question. But of course, she will be mad, she turns back to her book and responded. "Yes." she said making España chuckled. "I see, of course, you would. Because you're Felipinas after all."
"No, it's because everyone had their reason why they did things that aren't right..."
Felipinas said and looked at him wearing a gentle expression on her face.
España slowly put his hands towards her face and smile. "You're a good kid, continue what you're doing, okay?" he said and after that, he decided to left the room but he immediately turns his back as if he forgot something. "I'll be going now, I got some business to run. Oh, by the way ijah. Tomorrow...would you cook some of your cuisines. We go some visitor tomorrow." he said and went back to her to leave her a kiss on her forehead.
After leaving the room, Felipinas immediately followed him to the hallway. There she saw how her optimistic guardian kneeling towards the wall, helpless. There she heard soft cries of the man, "Is he...crying?" she asked herself.
"I wonder if I said something that made him sad...España, pasensya kana."
Suddenly, someone just tapped her shoulder. "Hey, Felipinas!" she heard a very familiar sound. Felipinas turned around and saw Venezuela. "Ah! What is it, ate?" she asked.
"Would you do me a favor?" Venezuela asked.
°It's now late afternoon and the sun has finally set to sleep. Felipinas finally finished doing the laundry that Venezuela asked her to do. But in return, she promised to do Felipinas chores tomorrow. She was walking through the hallway and saw Nueva waving at her from a long distance.
