Philippines raised her hand and slapped Americas face, the room was filled in silence as America backs off away from her. Suddenly Philippines realized what happened and slowly looked down. "I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." She said while staring at her fingers covered in a bandage. He broke them, her tears falling but she immediately wipes them off."I'm sorry Philippines I didn't mean to get close to you." America said and looked away. "Hey...Philippines-" Suddenly the door opened revealing a familiar figure, it was China who is carrying a basket of peach. "Ni hao, Mutiara, how are you feeling?" He asked.
"I brought you some peaches, it was freshly picked by everyone." He added, America on the other hand stand back and silently left the room. Philippines noticed it but she remained silent about it. "Hey, is something the matter? Do you not like peaches? Aru...I should have brought mangoes instead." China said but stopped when Philippines shake her head. "It's alright, Maraming Salamat."
China put the basket of peaches on the side table and then he sat on the chair beside her.
It was months after and ever since China heard about what happened to her. He decided to visit her and like the others, he insist to take care of her as well. After all, she was special to him. China stared at her and noticed that she had been silently staring at her hands. "Mutiara, are you really okay?" he asked but she remained silent, "Are you hungry?"
"Tsina...do I worry you?" she asked but this time China remained silent. It was a moment before he answer. "Of course." He said.
"I'll kill you." That sentence that Japan told her before leaving haunts her. It made her cry and wished that he never said that. She doesn't want to remember but she doesn't want to forget. "Mutiara? Are you really okay?" China asked as he awakened her in her deep thoughts. "I'm...I will be okay." she said.
Then suddenly everything turned black. "Where am I...Is this a...dream?" Philippines asked. She turned around and saw Japan looking at her with his furious eyes. "I'll surely kill you." He said making her scream.
Philippines opened her eyes and saw China trying to wake her. She looked around in panic and realized that it was all just an illusion, a hallucination. It's not real, Japan wasn't here.
Slowly, Philippines started crying. China comforted her by putting his arms around her. "Hush...it's alright, I'm here..."
After Mutiara finally fell asleep, the smile on his face slowly fades. China stands up and closes the curtains. "If only I protected you that day...you wouldn't end up here in this awful situation." He said and slowly put his hand to her cheeks. "I'm sorry."
China silently left the room and for the last time, he looked at her. He closed the door and to his surprise, America was standing just beside the door. "She's asleep." China said with a smile.
"Good, now you can stop pretending." America said while looking at him with his sharp eyes. "You're right but I don't want to start a fight here, especially when she's at that state. Let's talk outside instead." China said and he agreed.
The two of them went out to the balcony and there they both silently watch the view, the sky was clear and the stars shines on them. No one dared to start a conversation, not until China decided to cut the silents. "America, do you mind if we talk?" China asked, "Yeah, sure."
"America, are you okay? Are you hurt or in pain?"
China asked vaguely which made America confused. "What do you mean?" he asked, China looked at him and look back to the view. "I don't have any super powers or something but you see, I can feel you."
