I sigh and stare up at my grey ceiling, Wolf left me again probably to go hunting or something. My eyes dark to the clock that hangs on the wall, I'll leave in five minutes. There's a knock on the door, I don't answer. It's probably one of those bloody gits who want to fight me. I don't want to look like I've just survived a blood bath when I'm going to pick up Eden. He'll probably have a heart attack. He's probably one of those guys who can't stand the sight of blood. I shrug that's not my problem. I jump off my hard mattress and look out the window in the direction of the front door, I was right. It is a guy that looks to be around my age if not slightly older standing in front of my door. I raise an eyebrow. What could he want? I open the window and jump out, I don't have time to wonder about that lanky idiot, I need to pick up Eden.
I sigh, how the heck have I gotten so attached to a guy I've known for only about two days. I face palm, I'm becoming soft aren't I? and so early in the story. Heck even my killing methods have gotten less painful. Twisting a jagged blade in someone's shoulder is nothing compared to what I used to do. Maybe I should try working with fire like I used to do a couple years ago. I lick my lips as screams of the tortured ring through my ears.
I wait in front of the school gates by an old oak tree waiting for a certain feeble boy to walk out. My dark hair covers my eyes as I doze off slightly dreaming of a pile of the mangled corpses of my next victims laying there lifeless in the crimson pool of their own blood. I lick my lips hungry, I need to kill. I can almost feel the cool scarlet liquid seeping through my hands as I rip the flesh of the jugular.
"WOLF!" I snap my eyes forward to only see a familiar patch of light grey hair, I look down slightly to meet my narrow eyes with his large welcoming eyes, "Did you wait long?" I shake my head no and we leave the school grounds to walk into the poorer section of this bothersome town. We both walk in a comfortable silence side by side enjoying the grey scenery... well Eden looked like he was, me on the other hand. Not so much.
"Did you grow up in this part of Escye or the well-off part of the country." I look down at his head as he scratches his nape sheepishly,
"Weeell..." he drawls out; I can tell he feels bad for us poorer folk. But he doesn't have to. We don't need his pity, my eyes narrow. If anything we should be looked at with respect because we gave up our damned lives for their future. We didn't want to live in this shitty place but look where we are now. Eden lets out a disappointed sigh, "yeah..". honestly speaking he sounds disappointed to be part of their community. It's like he already knows what's going on behind the scenes.
"What do you think of the police?" I smile and continue walking. 'police?' Eden repeats, after that we're left in silence. Eventually we walk up the rusting creaky but also homely in a way, I come face to face with the same lanky guy from earlier. "Hello there," I greet and open the door for both Eden and the unknown guy to come in, the scruffy teen nods at me and they both sit on the torn black couch. "What do you want?" I ask as I close my door, the boy gulps and darts his dark eyes in the corner of the room where the heater is, "It must be important if you were willing to wait about an hour just to talk to me." He swallows the lump in his throat and stares deeply into my apathetic empty hues, finally he speaks
"I want to be your student." I raise an eyebrow,
"my student?" I repeat, he nods. I can tell he's not joking, "Why?" I question and look into his eyes,
"you obliterated the gang that killed my parents, last night my brother sought help from someone and killed him. They just left him in the streets with a slit throat. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was you. But I want to get stronger. I want to help people in the future like you do. I don't want to be useless anymore. Please.. I beg of you to let me train under you." I watch as tears fall down his cheeks that are slightly dotted with faint freckles, I grin
