Doing what Kendall does best is tearing your heart apart. She has a special talent for being exactly who your parents warned you about.
Kendall sighed and buried her head in her hands. Your gaze focused solely on the dirty spot on her navy blue shirt. Was it sauce?
"Ok...this is hard for me." Kendall breathed out as she slowly lifted her eyes but you didn't pay attention.
The spot bothered you too much.
Your wild thoughts flowed through your brain, not coherently or stringently but more like a chaos of unsaid words, tumbling over each other and you had to express yourself sooner or later, otherwise you'd burst.
"I'm pregnant." That voice broke at the end, a desperate edge to it like a broken mirror. You kept calm because you knew. It had been clear as day when she threw up every day for a week; it couldn't have been a morning sickness.
Her mood swings that were much more stressful than usual.
Her weird, unusual cravings where you'd go out to the store, stand in line and talk to the cashier; even though you had bad anxiety.
You did it for them.
"I'm pregnant..." Kendall repeated over and over, clutching her head in her hands with tears streaming down her face.
The moment she knew she was pregnant, she cried.
She knew it was a new beginning but another end.
She admitted she slept with another person other than her girlfriend; a new life was blooming but the end of yoir relationship was near.
There was no way she could keep both.
Her baby as a reminder of her betrayal and the love of her life.
"It's okay, Kendall." The odd calmness and quietness indicated that you weren't mad. There was no emotion displayed in you face.
"W-Wait, what?"
You lifted your head from the spot on her shirt and met her teary brown orbs, a chocolate color you've grown to love so much. The same eyes that closed when she moaned his name.
"Don't worry, I won't leave."
You assured her with a firm voice that nearly sounded formal, responsible even.
You've cried and screamed enough hurt in your pillow already.
She wasn't worth it.
She promised and she lied.
But whatever thing was growing up in her tummy deserved your love, her father left them and their mother Kendall. She had no guilt or responsibility to carry for what mistake Kendall has done.
You'd care for the baby because you didn't know if the brunette in front of you could; she couldn't even care about you.
It isn't the baby's fault.
"We both know I was unfaithful and it kills you inside. That I was happy with another guy for..."
Kendall gulped.
"It wasn't just one night, right? I can see it in your eyes." You told her coldly, keeping your gaze fixed on the floor.
"I didn't want to do it anymore. I realized when I saw you the other night. The night I ditched you and our date to be with him and our friends."
Kendall started to explain.
"And we coincidentally met in the bar where I tried to drink away my sorrows." You finished with a small sigh not going unnoticed by her.
