The earsplitting noise drowned out every word that left your mouth, making you frustrated. You tried to make yourself known, for everyone to listen to the heat of the words that dried your throat; it didn't work.

No, you're not at a party, if that's what you're thinking. Instead it was a silence so loud, none dared to make a sound and the suffocating blanket engulfed and filled the atmosphere like the quiet before a storm.

Your desperation lingered in the thick air, just like the familiar scent of her. Tension was high and occupied the space of oxygen in the room making it hard to breathe; in addition to that you weren't only lacking fresh air, you lacked composure, calmness and above all; dignity.

You like to believe you were raised to be cool in heated situations, that your head was always above water. To this day your throat never even touched the surface; until you laid eyes on her, drowning in endless pools of brown.
Golden reflections in her eye seeming to elevate herself to a realm that stays unknown, with a blinding sparkle in her eyes whose shine put the sun into the shadows.

You observed her, not caring that you weren't subtle, that she obviously caught all your attention and the slightest movement of her dancing fingers wrapping around the glass of champagne, tapping it, made you feel anxious. You imagined yourself to be an explorer discovering an old but immensely valuable artifact, just with the foolish old-fashioned tools called map and compass. She was a piece of history, touched by people that formed and shaped her while she told stories of how she became and how she lived, inspiring and interesting others with a passion that consumed everyone in the room.

Instead of moving on to the next subject, you stayed with her, within her reach so you'd be able to swim in her intoxicating words, it was poison running down her lip and it dripped on the floor every ten seconds, you estimated that about half were a lie. Though there was no one in the right mind to have trusted you about your judgment, disgust and disbelief raining upon you as you licked the dangerous venom off the floor, on your knees begging for more.

Surely you were aware of the disapproving glares directed towards you, not that it mattered; you'd only care about getting high on her.

You fell in love with the words she spoke, so beautifully strung together, every word carefully chosen to create a sentence which depth has yet to be explored. Every sound passing her tainted lips held a meaning; empty as some may have described at which you could just shake your head.

The most important thing was to fill it with your own creativity, your own imagination and gorgeous, unique mind and if you did that; you'd stumble upon galaxies far far away, yet so near in a way that touched your heart and colored it with a deep red passion that drove you crazy.

Perhaps you were in too deep, too invested and submissive leading to you being naive and you didn't see the signs. You should have known not to trust her.

Getting suspicious was a thing you turned your back to, not even wanting to acknowledge the possibility of you reacting to her in that particular way. You are young. You didn't know you were falling in love with her.

You should have observed more closely and you swore you just always remembered the taste of her eyes piercing into yours; a feeling quite overwhelming and dominant.

Somehow you managed to miss the way her eyes pinned you down, never even indicating that she wanted to glance another way and the attention, it made your innocent lips curl upwards.

You were so caught in up in the essence of her that you never noticed the lies pouring out of her mouth, a sinister and dark glint in her eyes as she lured you in, easily managing to make you obsessed with her.
