"And you were just standing there. The raindrops in your hair and the smile on your face."

You haven't forgotten the world around you, the world has forgotten you.

I wish they knew the way your eyes sparkled when you talked about all your passions; they'd light up the whole room and your lips, oh god, they would beg me to touch them, to love them in a way no one else could.

She stumbled into the living room, shielding her eyes from the bright lights that travelled through the window. A soft breeze combined with the smell of delicious food wafted in the air as she neared the kitchen counter that seperated you and her.

You smile when you glance at her ruffled appearance, obvious disorientation and confusion written all over her face.

"Hey, did you sleep well?"
You chuckled as you put the paprika into the pan and the sizzling sound was music to your ears.

Bacon and and scrambled eggs were already prepared on two plates and you saw her steal a strip of bacon from your peripheral vision.
Typical.

"Yeah, it was warm and cozy."
She mumbled, trying to hide the fact that she was munching on something.
Her eyes fluttered close, still feeling the exhaustion and wishing she could go back to bed.

"You tired? You can go back to bed, I'll be there shortly."
You laughed, amused by her discomfort at being up and about so you ushered her back to bed; she deserved it.

Soon you were finished preparing two plates and you quickly joined her in the equally bright bedroom where she fell asleep once again.

"Hey, Kenny. I'll eat up your whole breakfast if you don't wake up." You whispered into her ear and unsurprisingly her eyes jumped open immediately, trying to grab a plate.

"My food!" She pouted and sat upright, rubbing her eyes to sdjust to the day light while being extra careful not to spill anything.

"So...who are you exactly?"
A sigh broke the inevitable, questioning silence.
Every day hurts like the first, her waking up to a stranger.

"Me? I'm your wife."

"Wait-what? I'm married? Since when?" She rubbed her neck in confusion, halting her movements when you explained her condition.
You tried to make the whole thing smooth.

She just listened quietly and stared into your tires eyes, wondering why your pupils dilated every time you look at her. She found satisfaction in it.

Caught up in your emotions you didn't notice the loving smile that crept up her face.

"I'm glad past me married you. You are great!" She exclaimed, gesturing with her hands about how she suddenly remembered your first kiss and your first date; and you shared her excitement. She'd only be able to recall fragments. Nonetheless it was good, hearing part of the story of your love spilling from her mouth

"Yes! It was in that...coffee shop, right? The one near your work?"
She made a thinking face and a smile broader and brighter than the sun appeared on her face.
