Replacing Richelle

11. Nothing could be better

Richelle's POV:

When I get back stage,I wait patiently for Eva. I'd ask her to meet me here so that I could maybe ask her to take a workshop with me or something. I think I could really benefit from taking a session with her. Just as I'm backstage, I spot Jacquie smiling and cheering. When Eva comes off, she runs right to her. I should be with Noah right now, but I don't know where he is. Still on stage somewhere.
"Well done, cousin! You did amazing!" Jacquie says with a smirk towards me. I turn around and go find Noah.

"You okay, beauty?" I blush at the nickname, but weakly nod.
"What's up?" I don't even know to be honest. I'm supposed to be having this stunning date with Noah,which I was, and then his ex shows up. It's almost if she's trying to mock me.
"She's here." I point to backstage where he sees her and his eyes turn dark.
"I'll deal with this."

Jacquie's POV:

Seeing Noah approach me with that look is honestly thrilling. I didn't want to have to come here and ruin everything, but really I did. Richelle thinks that she can steal him. I get that she's known him for years, I do, but maybe she should've found her feelings before he dated several girls. I think she deserves this. His way of breaking up with me tore me apart and maybe I should've left it longer before I messed with the happy couple, but I was coming to watch Eva and I thought it was aptly appropriate to start early.
"Hi, Eva right? You did amazing today, well done on your win. May I speak to Jacquie here for a second? I won't be long." He pulls me aside and I can't wait to hear what he has to say.
"I'm sorry, Okay." Really? Really Noah? Now you're sorry. Now you have Richelle, you're sorry. No.
"It's cool. I was coming to watch my cousin. Didn't realise you two would be here. Hope I didn't ruin anything." The lie rolls off my mouth like water. Water turns into ice. I'm ice. He's fire. We're the perfect match. And Richelle's...irrelevant.
"It's fine. Me and Richelle were on our first date just now, but I realise this is probably hard for you. Look Jacquie, I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me. I've forgiven myself." He's trying to be funny, but he's about as funny as a stabbing to my heart.

He side hugs me before walking off. I go back to Eva, wondering how long it'll be until he realises who I am.

Richelle's POV:

"What was that?" I question,livid with emotion.
"Just a friend hug. I don't want to be making enemies in the studio or anything." I can't stop myself. I fire back at him.
"I do." Then, automatically I'm ranting.
"I want you to have enemies. Have a backbone. You break girl's hearts all the time. Surely you're used to your fan club. They glare at me as if I'm some kind of witch. Well, I can be." He leads me into his arms, knowing that I need to be calmed down.
"I'm sorry, Noah. I'm still getting used to this. It's harder than I thought." Why can't I just feel damn safe in Noah's arms? Why can't the world stop for us? It isn't fair that I have to deal with several Jacquies aggressively hating me because Noah loves me. Maybe I should just forget it.

We go home and I can only say one thing. Apart from the part where I got all panicked, this was the best first date I ever could've asked for. Finally, I'm with Noah and nothing could be better.

A/N: So I know this is kind of a filler, and about my like fifth one, but I hope you can accept the fact that my chapters are never the same length because I write them as much as possible, but it's hard keeping up with everything. Anyway, I'm happy to see this date as a success, but I wanted Jacquie to at least have some purpose so I made her the cousin of Eva who just happened to be there. Anyway, we'll deal with her again soon, but we're back to Emily next chapter. It's the dance battle!
