I sat by myself as I watched the storm roll in. I love how it feels before a storm came, the warmth and the smell in the air always made everything inside of me feel right.
It almost made me forget why I'm out here.

My brother is chained to a tree. I turn my body, looking in his direction earning a grimace from him. I look to Scott and Stiles, them ignoring Liam's pleas for release. I roll my eyes and stand up, brushing off my jeans, hoping my butt isn't dirty.

I stand by Liam's side just as he repeats his pleads.
"Come on, guys. Am I really going to spend the last day of summer chained to a tree?"
I looked up at the moon hanging high in the sky, full and bright in all its glory.

"Hey! We're trying to have an adult conversation over here." Stiles snaps.
"I'm fine." My brother spoke "Just let me go."

The two boys walked over and stood in front of us. Scott, looking apologetic in his approach while Stiles just looks annoyed.
"It's not that we don't trust you-" He started before being interrupted by Stiles.
"It's that I don't trust you."

"Guys, come on. We can take care of him." I say, nodding to Scott.
"Maybe you think you can bu-"
"But, the last full moon..." Scott mumbles, interrupting Stiles and grabbing onto the chains

"It was one slip up!" Liam sighs frustrated.
"Slip up? A dozen calls to the Sheriff's department about a "monstrous dog-boy" running around the streets of Beacon Hills naked." Stiles retorts.

Scott and I looked at my brother, Scott looking more confused while I grimaced slightly. That was one awkward car ride home and I shudder at the memory every time I think about it.
"Why were you naked, anyway?" Scott asks.

"It was really hot that night, okay?" Liam sighs. "Now let me go."
"You sure you're okay?" Scott asked, looking at him as if he was still unsure
"It won't happen again." My brother pleaded.
"You're in complete and total control?"

"Come on, give him just a little benefit of the doubt." I say, scoffing more towards Stiles than Scott at this point. I knew Scott meant well, being as he struggled with his phasing as well. Stiles, on the other hand was enjoying this way too much.

"Yeah, complete and total control." My brother replies.

They unshackled my brother from the tree, putting the chains and cuffs back into the gym bag. We all headed back to the jeep before I noticed a hitch in my brother's breathing. I looked at his face and instantly knew what he had done.

"You know he can smell that, right?" I ask him, looking at his bloody palms.
"Yeah, and you know he can hear you, right?" He threw back. I roll my eyes and swat his arm.
"They're too busy talking about college to notice anything." I say.

"Why aren't you?" He asks.
"Hey, I'd like to just get through Senior year in on piece first." I reply.
"Right." He replies.
"Come on, little pup." I say, teasing him a little. What else are siblings for?

"Is it a party?" Liam asks, sitting up closer to the front seats.
"It's not a party." Stiles replies, sarcasm lacing his tone.
"Then what's at midnight?"

"Your bedtime." Stiles says firmly. I laugh at this, earning a glare from Liam.
"It was funny." I mumble, looking back out of the window.

"Why aren't the other girls going?" Liam asks, looking back to Stiles with a slight snarl.
"They're meeting us there, okay? And stop asking questions, all right? It's a senior thing." Stiles answers a little too childish.

I for one was excited for Senior Scribe. I had been waiting for it the whole summer. The night was finally here, we'll join together to scribe our initials onto a bookshelf in the library, just as the previous senior classes had done for years.
