"Esmerelda!" Gabrielle called causing the elder Angel to snap from her trance. Despite being an elder , her youthful brown eyes took a hold of his, a weary look on his face. Her golden brown locks pinned back neatly, wings outstretched as she sat in the room of a chapel, white gown, a sword held in her belt, and silvered armor. "Its the girl."

Esmereldas eyes looked with such curiousity, sadness, and fear.

"Has he found her? Lucifer?" she asked. Gabrielle bowed his head in certain defeat.

"Yes. " He breathed out. "I know of what must be done. But i fear we could be too late. " Esmerelda shook her head and rose to her feet.

"No brother." her voice was strong and seemed to boom with hope in the chapel room. "We must lead her away or heaven knows what danger he might bring to her. "

"But sister!" Gabrielles soft gaze snapped to her now growing strong. "She may be the only key to defeating the fallen one. She-" Esmereldas eyes narrowed and her voice cut off his words.

"At what cost Gabrielle?" her voice quivered with emotion. "At her life? Her chance in the afterlife? She may be the key, but she is still a soul." Esmerelda's brows furrowed and Gabrielle's eyes softened.  "Would you not have mercy my brother?" she whispered. Something in her changed, her eyes welling up as she looked away. "Would you not have pity for him? He was once our own."

"Esmerelda-" Gabrielle breathed out. "I know he was dear to you, but he is no longer the Lucifer we knew." Gabrielle approached Esmerelda, heartbroken at her pain. But he knew too well the monster he had become. No angel had seen this forecoming, not even the Telling Angels, the angels who saw all. "You must let him go from your thoughts-"

"No!" she spoke firmly. "Theres still light in him yet! I know it Gabrielle, please. Have mercy!" her eyes had welled up with tears as they pleaded with him. "Have forgiveness.."

Gabrielle sighed, knowing what must be done in his mind, but his heart blinding him and leading him to a different outcome.

"Lead the girl away." she whispered. "And when the time is right we will take action, unless.." she placed her hand in Gabrielles. "Unless he comes back to us."

Gabrielle nodded, his wings outstretched and eyes comforting to hers.

"I will go to the girl." he said before wings lifted him up, a gentle beat against the air.

"God be with you my brother. " she whispered as she watched him leave.

"What may this be?" Lucifers voice crooned as he turned his head to me. We layed on my bed listening to music. My eyes studied the cieling as the music played.

"Nirvana." i stated the tune looking back to him. "Cant believe youve never heard Nirvana." i managed a laugh to which he returned a soft and small smile.

Just the other day he dropped me in the water and i almost drowned, yet here we were laying peacefully on my bed as if it didnt happen. I dont know why i was so calm about it, or why id forgiven him even, though he didnt ask for it. Maybe because i knew hed be around until the day id die, hed take my soul, and maybe because i accepted it.

"Lucifer?" my brows furrowed.

"Yes Amelia?" he searched me with his eyes.

"Whats hell like?" I asked. Truth be told i was scared, was it really a firey pit? Or maybe just darkness.. Maybe i shouldn't have asked. His green eyes softened as if he could sense my fear, as if he felt bad for me. But i knew he didnt. Ive learned from experience that he felt no pity. He paused for a moment and had a look of curiousity in his eyes.
