Niall's PoV.

-

"Yeah uh.... About that..."

-

The room falls deadly silent as all three lads stare at me. Harry has a knowing look on his face as if he knew when he first saw me. Liam looks unfazed, and a little like he's waiting for me to come out and say it. As for Louis... Well he looks shocked and bewildered.

"I um.... I-I.. I'm gay?.... And uh.. Yeah.." I look down and twiddle my thumbs together. My heart hammered in my chest as I hid my face, coaching myself not to cry. I knew this wasn't a good idea. I shouldn't have told them, I shouldn't have told Louis. Now he'll hate me and I'll loose-

"Oh, Irish!" Louis exclaims as he throws his arms around me in a tight hug. I'm shocked to say the least. He holds me in the hug for a while after I wrap my arms around him too. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"From past experiences, I just thought it would be better if people didn't know. I was scared you would hurt me if I told you." I answer honestly. Louis pulls away from the hug and looks at me with apologetic eyes.

"I would never hurt you Ni!" Louis exclaims as he ruffled my hair and poked my cheek. "At least not intentionally."

I chuckle at the last part before becoming serious once again. "So.... you're not going to treat me any different?"

"Niall!" Louis grabs my face gently, softly caressing my cheek with his thumb, "Of course not! You're not a different person than you were before I knew. You're still Niall, you're still my Irish."

Before I can make a comment on him calling me his Irish, Liam interrupts. "I think we're all going to be great friends."

"Yeah, we really ar-"

Ring Ring

We all turn to the floor where -for some reason- my phone now rests. I get up and look at the caller ID, Allie. I take a few steps away from the lads, but keep them in eyesight just for some sort of reassurance. I lean against the wall and answer the phone.

"Niall!" I smile when she starts talking before I even get a chance to say hi. "Guess what little bro?"

"What?" I chuckle softly, ignoring the fact that I can tell the lads are watching me.

"I've cleared a few things, and I'm coming to see you!" She exclaims.

"What!" I shout, standing up straight. "Shit! When?!"

Allie laughs, making me bite my lip in efforts to hold back my own fit of laughter. I know if I laugh, she'll just laugh more. "Friday, next week."

I cheer into the phone, glad Allie is coming down to see me. "That's only 9 days away!"

"Yeah i know!" Allie chuckled. "I want to meet your Dorm mate and all your friends, and everyone important there!"

"Ok, definitely! How long are you gonna be here for?" I ask, biting my nails, already knowing the answer.

"Just the weekend, I'm sorry Ni." Sadness laces her voice, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. I know she can't stay here too long though.

"Hey, it's fine. At least I'll get to see you." I smile lightly, even though I know she can't see me.

"Ok, well I have to go Niall. I'll talk soon love you little bro."

"Bye-" I hold back a sigh, my voice coming out a little quieter than usual "-  love you too."
