Chapter 2

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm going off from my phone. I threw the covers off me and swung my legs over the side of the bed. I laid like this for a few minutes trying to gain the energy to actually get out of bed.

Eventually I made it up and left my room to take a hot shower. After drying myself off and putting leave-in conditioner in my hair, I went back into my room to get dressed. Put on my favorite pair of black skinny jeans and slipped into my black vans. Since it was fairly warm, even with the storm last night, I put on a bando and a loose-fitting band tank. I walked back to the bathroom and applied a little bit of make up and put on some eyeliner and mascara.

My dad and Paula had already left for work so there was a note telling me they would be back late, not to wait up, and to have a good first day. They were also nice enough to leave me some money incase I wanted to get dinner somewhere. After putting the money in my wallet, I grabbed my keys and backpack and headed out the door.

Having a dad who is the head of the ER at the hospital has its perks, like the car my dad bought me for my 17th birthday last year. My Black 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe was my baby.

I pulled into the school parking lot pretty early so I sat and waited for Bella to pull up. After about 5 minutes I could see her cherry red convertible coming around the corner. I jumped out of my car and grabbed my backpack, setting it on my hood. Bella pulled up next to me with the biggest smile on her face. She had gotten so tan over the summer, I hardly recognized her. Her father had sent her to Italy for the last half of the summer to visit some relatives.

"Bells i've missed you so much!" I shrieked as soon as she stepped out of the car. I ran over to her side and hugged her tight. She squeezed me back while laughing. "I missed you so much too! I wish you could have come with me to Italy, its amazing!"

"Well you'll have to tell me all about it after school today. Dad and Paula will be out late so you can grab dinner with me and stay at my house." "Sounds like a great idea!"

The bell then rang, warning students that they had 10 minutes to get to class. We grabbed our things and headed towards the school building. It was then, right before we walked through the doors, that I saw them out of the corner of my eye.
