From White to Gray to Black

Above the clouds I have flown,

Happiness in the past.

The sky I saw blue,

the sun so bright,

the grass so fresh and green.

But that was the past,

and now all I see,

is gray, the black,

Night so dark.

Gentle upon mine eyes.

The sky is gray,

the sun was dimmed.

The grass so bland and dry.

But somewhere close,

upon the lines...

You are there to cheer me on.

You are my lifeline,

the candle in the night.

As long as you shine bright.

I will not lose my way into the tunnel of Death.
