Maya's point of view

My tummy filled up with butterflies with just his name being said. I look down to go my blush. It was obvious that I still had a little bit of feelings for him.

I look up and see a slight smirk on Caleb. No doubt he saw the pink color on my cheeks.

"I honestly don't know." I pause taking a sip of my coffee after getting it together.

"I mean you still like him. It's hard not to tell. You blush with just his name being said." He chuckled.

"I guess after my senior year of high school, he was caught up in college. He stopped talking to me, out of no where. I didn't want to bother him, so I get we don't talk anymore. I mean we were a small thing in high school, but we didn't even kiss." I shrug. I look up at Caleb with a small smile.

He's knows all about Josh, and the Long Game thing I had with him. We met in class and clicked. We became good friends after that. So here we are.

"I still don't get how he just stopped talking to you. Like no even a call back telling you why?" He asks with his eyebrow raised.

I shake my head no.

I always wondered why he never did call me or text me, but maybe it was just another question I have that will never be answered.

"Well, why don't you call him?" He shrugged.

I was taken back by his words. I was shocked.

Why did I never call him? It was something I never thought of. I can't lie to myself saying I never have time, or I was busy. I had no life.

"I don't know, I guess I never thought about calling him. I was so caught up in him calling me first."

"Why don't you just call him now? Just go for it. You only live once, right?"

"What if he blocked me? What if he doesn't want to talk to me? What if he has a girlfriend? What if-"

Caleb cuts me off from my 'what if's'. "I just think you're over reacting. Just call him, if he doesn't answer, move on. And if he does go along with it." He shrugs.

I just look into his eyes, fighting whether or not I should call him.

"Here. I'll make it easy for you. Pass you your phone." He says placing out his hand for me to put my phone in.

I pass my phone and he does his magic. There was no way getting out of this. He would make me do it today or tomorrow.

He had is thumb print saved so it was no trouble getting in. Reminding myself to remove it and change my password so nothing like this happens again.

Caleb pressing contacts and scrolling through, finding Josh's name fast.

Not even noticing that my heart was beating and faster then usual.

I watch as Caleb presses call.

He holds out the phone to my ear and I take it from there.

The phone rings three times before getting cut off by the fourth, by a voice of the boy I had liked since I was fourteen.

"Hello?"
