Josh's point of view

"You are all dismissed. Thank you, and see you again next Monday." The professor says. I swear I could see some students running out of the class. I pack my stuff and walk out the class. I had to get breakfast. If not I would die from hunger.

Heading to my dorm, quickly so I could drop off my stuff.

"Hey! Josh! Wait up." I heard from behind me. I turn and see the man I met in class.

I saw Caleb jogging towards me. "Why don't we hang out? You know get breakfast?" He asks.

I was a little taken back. I barely met the guy. It was a little weird, I guess. My thoughts were brought back when he spoke again.

"Or not?" He says awkwardly.

I guess  my silence was making him think I didn't want to hang out with him. "No-I mean sure. Why not? I just have to call someone really quick." I said pulling my phone out of my pocket.  I go to my contacts and press call on 'Martinez'. I heard the phone ringing and finally on the last ring she answers the phone.

Caleb just nodded, understanding.

"Hey Joshua. What happened?" I hear my best friend say with a happy tone she always had on the phone with me.

"Hey, babe. I am just calling and letting you know I am not going to go to lunch today. But for sure Friday, no questions asked, okay?" I explain, hoping it was okay with herself.

"Yeah go ahead. But no canceling on Friday, okay?" she says in a teasing manner.

"Promise. I love you, see you soon."

"Love you, too." I heard before hanging up.

I look up to see Caleb looking guilty? But before I could ask he blurts out.

"Sorry! I didn't know you had a girlfriend, I wouldn't have asked you to hang out if I knew you had plans with her."

"It's no big deal, and she's not my girlfriend. She is just my best friend." I reassure him with a smile. "Now let's go eat because all that sleep made me hungry, but then again what's new?" I laughed.

After that Caleb and I ended up eating at a pizza place then talk about a lot of different things that we actually had in common. He seemed like a cool person. After today we agreed to hang out more.

Who knew sleeping in class could bring a new friendship?
