VIKTOR POV
I was walking Makkachin around Hasetsu. The sun was setting and all the street lamps were slowly lighting up. I could hear the gentle waves crashing as the tide came in on the beach next to where I was walking. There weren't many people out, allowing me more room to enjoy the scenery.
I walked down a side street with lots of alleyways, but that just gave it a more mysterious feel. Everything was peaceful and quiet until something stopped me in my tracks. The sound of a loud gasp, a muttered curse and running to get to a hiding place in an alley caught me off guard so I turned around. Makkachin started barking and tried to run towards them so I attached his lead to his collar.
"Calm down, Makka." I said quietly before raising my voice slightly.
"Hello? Are you ok? If you want I'll be happy to take a photo!" I said to them happily in what other people would call a yell. They stayed silent so I hummed thoughtfully.
"No? Ok..." I said in a sad voice as I slowly hid myself in the alley over. I heard footsteps then a sigh of relief, then a figure in a black hoodie walked past with his hood over their head. He went under a street lamp and I caught a glimpse of blonde hair. I took my chance and threw myself on them which was a bad idea as we both fell over.
"Gotcha!" I said in triumph but they struggled from underneath me and bolted.
"Makkachin." I said, pointing at them and he ran after them until they were pinned underneath him. Makka instantly started licking them and I smiled, walking up to the two of them.
"Get off me, dog!" The boy said in a fairly deep Russian accent, his face covered by long blonde hair. I pushed Makkachin off of him and moved the hair out of his face.
"I knew it, Yurio." I said coldly.
Yuri POV
I was in Hasetsu, I had no idea why. I guess I was just looking for some time to myself, rather than Otabek being there with me 24/7. He will be wanting my head for running off, though. I walked around a corner, only to see a familiar man and his dog.
"Shit." I curse to myself, ducking into the shadows behind a wall.
"I'll be happy to take a photo!" Damn Viktor, so happy all the time.
"No? Ok..." I hear him start to leave and wait a little bit.
I look around the corner, slowly coming out. I sigh in relief when the old man is nowhere in sight and continue walking, only to be grabbed by him and get pinned to the floor. Reflexes take over and I bolt, running as fast as I can but that dumb dog is faster. He pins me to the floor, licking my face.
"Get off me!" I yell, not being able to see as my overly grown hair covers my face. The dog gets pulled off me and my hair removed from my face.
"Yurio." Viktor said coldly and I growled.
"Get off me, old man! I can't be here! Let me go!" I struggle free and start running again. This time faster. I run around corners, pulling things out behind me to stop them from getting to me. All was failed when I hit a dead end. I frantically look for a getaway, but couldn't find anything.
"Shit, shit, shit!" I curse to myself, jumping onto a bin then trying to climb onto one of the lower rooves, but falling onto my back on the floor. I winced and tried to get up but Viktor pinned me to the floor with his foot. He gives me an evil glare and mentally I slap myself. As if this wouldn't happen, I went to the place I ran away from that contains all the people who I left, as if I thought I wasn't going to get caught. I'm so fucking stupid! Otabek's going to be so mad!
He picks me up, drooping me over his shoulder. I may be nearly 17 now but I've only grown a few inches. I am still short enough to be thrown over an old man's shoulder. I groan, giving in while not really being able to do much as I hurt myself with that fall.
