5.Sea Of Memories

Edward

I turned the pages, jotted down some notes and went down the aisle looking for the book I needed.

'Edward!' I turned to the voice of Carter my roommate and coincidentally the craziest guy I've ever met.

I signed. He was usually far away from me cause he considered me to be "The Nerd" So If he came all the way to the library(a place trust me he would never step foot in unless he's desperate) looking for me then it could only mean one thing...

'Edward! Am I glad to see you!'

He needed my help.

Well, you can't blame a guy who's never in his life come to the library to read a good book. We heard a chorus of 'Shhh!' All around us.

'Well Carter' I said in a hushed voice 'I'm glad you care about me so much but what's so important you've come all the way here to the library to tell me?'

He looked at me as if I was kidding and then said 'Umm.....Ed, I know you love art and all but don't you think decorating the dorm room walls with crazy symbols from top to bottom is a little over the top? I mean don't get me wrong they are totally amazing but yeah you could have asked for my help too you know?'

'What!?' Is this some kind of a joke?' I looked around the place expecting to see the guys who had told him to tell me this, but no one was around.

I turned back towards him and asked 'What are you talking about? Why will I draw something on the walls?...' And then it hit me...symbols...

You saw a glowing symbol on your book the other day

Some small voice at the back of my head said

well duh wasn't it obvious?

'Let's go check it out' I said tossing all my books in my bag and slinging it over my shoulder.

Saying that both of us got out of the library, and rushed through the courtyard.

My thoughts were hitting me like a hurricane. Part of me wanted all this to be just a practical joke Carter played on me but a part deep inside me knew he wasn't and I dreaded this part.

In a few moments, we reached the rooms. I ran up the stairs to the room.

I took out my keys and plugged them into the keyhole of our room, I opened the door, barged in and froze in my tracks.

I couldn't believe it. Symbols. Everywhere. I turned in a full circle taking in my surroundings.

All the walls in the room were filled with strange symbols. They had this eerie glow which was honestly really creepy but in a way strangely familiar. I put my hand on the wall tracing the designs.

'Woah! The last time I saw was in the morning. And only half of them were on the walls... Dude when did you do this I thought you were in the library the whole day!' Carter exclaimed.

I had no words. The eerie glow was starting to fade...and with that the symbols! I moved away from the walls 'what in the world?...'

'Edd! They're vanishing! What's happening here?' Carter shouted while also moving away from the walls. 

Suddenly I started to feel pain. I feel to my knees 'Ahhh!' I clutched myself. My back felt like it was burning!

'Ed? Edward? Dude you're on fire! Wait that's not fire...sparks? What's happening?' He said trying to do something?

'I don't know...' was all I said before my knees buckled and the world went dark...
