Rhoda took hurriedly steps towards her wing, and closed the door as she entered her room.
She eased her breath and headed straight towards her bed and took a pouch resting underneath her pillow.
She went to the middle of the room, and sat on the couch she used only when calming her soul, and peeked into the contents of the pouch.
It had a meagre amount of pixie dust she had inherited from her grandmother, that was used to absorb her power when it pooled in excess.
She glanced once at her palms and them reached out to take a pinch of the dust and rubbed the dust on her palms.
Then she closed the pouch and continued rubbing her hands until the white light became faint and had almost vanished.
She felt drained but this was a method that helped her control her magic at ease. She couldn't rely on any other option now, for her life was at stake, and so were her children.
She sobbed uncontrollably at the thought of her children.
She made up her mind to talk about her fears to Nathan no matter what. But destiny had other plans.
Will she be able to talk to Nathan?
