'New' love

"Babe you ready?" Y/n called

"Coming" her boyfriend yelled, smiling as he linked his hands with hers and they left the house getting into y/n's car

"I'm excited to see the boys again" he beamed once they finally arrived in the parking spot

"And yet there's one you haven't met" She sighed

"Your ex?"

"Exactly" She nods "just before we go in, remember this, he's cocky very cocky, he'll probably mores than likely only about talk about his girlfriend, and he might bring up sexual jokes but just ignore it" she says, looking right into his eyes

"Babe it's fine" he chuckled kissing her cheek "let's go"

The pair got out the car and walked into the building before knocking on the door. It opens second later and reveals joe

"Hey" y/n smiled embracing him in a quick hug before he shook hands with her boyfriend

"Come on in" joe smiled.

The group all greeted each other, well all except y/n's ex and his new girlfriend

"He's still in the kitchen" jack said as y/n took a seat on his couch "listen I know you guys haven't seen each other in four months but thank you for coming tonight" jack smiled

"Hey it's fine, anything for you guys" y/n chuckled just as laughter entered the room. That very familiar laugh

"Ahh so you're the famous Conor Maynard" y/n's boyfriend, Daniel smiled going to shake Conor's hand

"Yeah that's me, and don't forget talented" he joked shaking Danny's hand, y/n rolling her eyes

"Hi I'm Victoria" his girlfriend introduced herself smiling

"Nice to meet you" Daniel smiled, Conor trying to hold back laugh as Daniel stood being very polite and slightly formal

"And look who it is" Conor smiled as y/n stood up "the y/n y/l/n" he said

"Oh shut up" she shook her head as they hugged "I see nothings changed with you then still cocky and annoying" she said folding her arms

"Nope nothings change, and I see nothings change with you. Dramatic and an easy wind up" he said

"You know what-" she began but got cut of my Caspar

"Guys don't start" he said

"Come on Babe" y/n said taking Danny's hand and pulling him on the sofa to sit next to her

The boys began to talk amongst themselves, Conor and Victoria making out on the end of the couch and y/n and Daniel cuddling and talking

"You okay" He asked looking down at her

"Yeah" she nodded putting a smile on her face, to be truthful y/n hasn't felt the same way towards Danny as she used to. She still loved him dearly but recently she noticed it hasn't been enough. Although she's longing it out, maybe it's a faze? Who knows, all she knows is she loves him and that's it?

"I'm gonna get a drink" she stood up from the couch and made her way into the kitchen shutting the door behind her.

But as she walked past Conor noticed, his eyes opening through the kiss and watching her. He will still admit he loves her, again it has only been four months they've been split. But his way of grieving over the loss is different.

When alone, he thinks about. Writes songs about her and sometimes cries, but when around others or Victoria he used them as a distraction. Yes he loves Victoria but not as much as he loved and needed y/n.
