Prologue

Everyone in the Shark Clan and Dolphin Tribe were bustling giddily. How could they not? The eighteenth birthday of their heirs, Rin Matsuoka and Haruka Nanase were quickly approaching. [Just for this I'm making their birthdays on the same day idgaf--] Everyone was wondering who their soulmates would be.

"Maybe Sosuke?" was the widely accepted theory of the Shark Clan.

"Maybe Makoto?" on the other hand, was the Dolphin Tribe's widely accepted theory.

Rin and Haru were both sick of it. Sick of the guessing and sick of the assumptions. They just wanted everyone to mind their own business.

They aren't even aware of the reason for getting aggrivated at these assumptions. Maybe it was because, deep down, they knew they wouldn't be correct.

It was finally Rin and Haru's eighteenth birthday. The night before, their right wrists were wrapped up, so nobody would know their soulmates' names until their ceremony later that night.

That night, Rin and Haru stood beside each other, eyes scanning across the large crowd consisting of both the Clan and the Tribe. Makoto, Nagisa, Rei, Gou, Ai, Momo, and Sosuke were all in the front of the crowd, watching the two intently. The group of seven didn't care that they were supposed to hate each other. Makoto was talking with Sosuke, Nagisa with Ai, and Momo was helplessly trying to flirt with Gou as she spoke with Rei.

They all grew quiet as Rin and Haru were told to unwrap their arms. Everyone in the crowd felt the tension growing as they all noticed the confused and scared expressions on the heirs' faces. Suspicion began to rise among everyone.

Their suspicions were confirmed when Rin and Haru turned to each other, and shouted,

"WHAT THE HELL!?"

Rin and Haru were soulmates.
