Haru stared at Rin, shocked.

"Wh.. What?" he mumbled.

"Haru. You know just as well as I do that we can't keep doing this.. Meeting up in secret more and more just raises our chance of being caught.. so please. Run away with me?" Rin tried to reason, almost sounding desperate. Sighing, Haru shook his head.

"I'm sorry.. I need to think about it. But I'll see you next week," he smiled a bit, quickly kissing Rin's cheek before leaving the reef, heading for his home.

"Uh... yeah, b-bye!" Rin called after him weakly, before making his way to the Shark kingdom with a small frown.

After getting back to his own kingdom, Haru let out a few greetings to his friends, but started to go to his room. Before he could get very far, he felt a pair of arms hug him tightly from behind.

"Haru-chan~! What's the matter??" Nagisa whined.

"It's nothing, Nagisa.." the prince muttered, not meeting anyone's eyes.

"You sure, Haru..? You're being a bit less responsive than usual.." Makoto commented, with Rei nodding in agreement.

"Guys, I'm serious, it's nothing.. I'm just a bit sidetracked with something I'm thinking of.. sorry if I worried you guys," Haru apologized. "Anyway, I think I'm gonna head to my room for a bit.. I just need some space," he muttered, getting out of Nagisa's grasp with Rei's help. Afterwards, he started making his way up to his room, vaguely aware of three concerned gazes behind him.

Just before he could enter his bedroom, though, the sound of two unsheathing swords and a deep voice stopped him in his tracks.

"Freeze, traitor."

"Mannn, I got totally blown off," Rin groaned to an annoyed Gou.

"Onii-chan, you were the dumbass who thought it would be a good idea to ask him that out of the blue, so don't bring this to me!" she huffed.

"Rude."

"Suck it up."

"Alright, Gou, I think that's enough," Sosuke sighed, entering the room. "But, I must admit that was pretty dumb, Rin."

"Shit, not you too, Sosuke!" the red-haired male whined.

"Well it's true though!"

"Oh my fu- you know what, I'm not dealing with this," Rin muttered before heading off.

~[next week]~

When Rin got to the reef, he was both surprised and worried to see Makoto, Rei, and Nagisa waiting for him instead of Haru.

"Rin.. you should probably bring Gou and the others over here.. Haru.. was caught, and is now in in the guards' captivity in a cell," Makoto eventually spoke, a sympathetic look in his eyes, while Rin's widened in horror.

"What.. what the hell!?"
