Chapter 18: The Truth

Story's POV

"No...NO!" I yelled "IT CAN'T BE! NO!"

"MISS! WHAT'S WRONG?!" The old man came out but as soon as he did, my hood fell. "K-K-KATHERINE!"

"!" I gasped.

"GET AWAY FROM ME YOU MONSTER!" The man turned frightend at me and started throwing books at me.

Suddenly my heart broke and I ran, not only that but the book in my hand, was something I wasn't able to handle. This book tells about the my world about 'Elementals'. 

 But then again I'm living in a world where in my world it's just an otome game, they would probably freak out as much as I would. I thought.

Just then I remembered what Sidd said in the clock tower. "....But as I said, 'Why would they call her that?' and that story sounds a little familiar."

Could it be that, Sidd knows this story...That's why, HE left me because he thought I was lying, THAT HAS TO BE IT. And that man...

I should have known, in this world I'm KATHERINE, everyone here thinks I'm a liar and a gold digger. Tears started forming in my eyes, I may be an elemental, but I'm still human.

I ran until I was at the edge of the forest and slid on a tree and puled on hood to cover my face and started to cry even harder.

Ice is hard and cold, but fragile and easy to break. That's what master taught me. "STORY! THERE YOU ARE!" A deep voice came with the sounds of puddles being stomped on.

"Sidd..?..." I looked up to see Sidd panting and covered in water. "What are you doing here?"

"I came searching for you, but then I saw a old man trembling saying, 'Katherine' so I took a hunch and..." Sidd said but then looked at my face closer. "Were you crying?"

"..."I looked away from him, but then nodded. "I thought you ditched me."

"I am NOT that kind of person." Sidd protested.

"But...I was waiting for you at the castle and it turned into night but you weren't there...so I...." I clenched my cloak tighter and pulled my hood to cover even more of my face. "I assumed that...you ditched me because most people tend to forget me."

"I won't do that, you see, I left early and went to search for you but--" Sidd said sheepishly.

"Oh, then it was me who misunderstood. Sorry Sidd." I said in a  monotone voice.

"*sigh* Come on--" I raised my hood to see Sidd with his back turned away and him crouching.

"You...want to give me a piggy back ride?" I asked.

"Yeah, now hop on." Sidd looked at me.

"*snorts* HAHAHAHA!" I laughed. "Are you serious, Sidd I'm pretty sure you don't want ME to climb on your back, hehe."

"Sure, why not?" He questioned.

"I will CRUSH you Sidd, I mean it." I put a smile on my face. "Besides David Hasselhop, even with your muscles, I am certain I will crush you, and that will mean that I will have to carry you."
