The necklace

                    London's pov:

It's around 7pm and i am so excited for the party. I know it a causal swim/pool party but it's gonna be my first time really enjoying all my friends in California. I still can't get Emilio out of my mind, his cute smile, cute accent, stop it. He's your cousins best friend, he may be really cute but snap out of it. Pushing the thoughts of Emilio out of my mind i walk into my closet picking out my outfit. I pick out an adorable strappy baby blue crop top and high waisted denim shorts. Under my outfit i throw on a bandou bikini top with black bathing suit bottoms.
I get ready to put on some water proof makeup and text Tessa.

Tessa💕 7:45pm

Me: Hey are you ready yet because i need you to do my makeup. I'm not really used to the L.A lifestyle!

Tessa: of course I'm coming up to your room right now!

Tessa's the best, i haven't even known her for a day and already love her. She just has such a happy personality and is such a good person. I really think she will help me adjust to living in L.A.

Emilios pov:

I go back upstairs into my room to see Ivan sitting on the edge of his bed texting someone.
" Hey Ivan what are you up too?" I say wondering who in the world Ivan may be texting.
" It doesn't matter," he says turning red. " Just go get ready for the party!"We are really close so i know he will tell me eventually who he is texting.
I head into the bathroom and throw on some swim trunks. I know i can't just walk around without a shirt, so i throw on my new Malibu tee shirt with palm trees on it. I open the cabinets under the bathroom sink and grab the secret box where i am hiding the necklace. I had gone about an hour ago to pick up the necklace from the jewelers shop and i really hope she loves it!
      I quickly shove the necklace in my swim trunk pockets as i hear Anthony and Chances voice travel into our bedroom. I put some gel in my hair really quick and leave the bathroom.
      " Hey guys, who's ready to party?!" I say trying to make sure they forget about my feelings for London. I don't know how i could fall for such a gorgeous girl in less then 12 hours. Am i moving to fast? Well to late now, I have to be committed to giving her the necklace and this relationship if there is one.
      " US!" Both Chance and Anthony shout at the same time. Both of them start howling like a monkey until Erika yells at them to shut up.
      We all head down the stairs laughing at Erika's reaction. I head over to the kitchen and grab snacks out of the pantry. What's a party without snacks? I also grab some soda out of the fridge and set it on the table outside.
     It's kind of crazy because it's 8pm in fall and it's seventy degrees in California. I gotta say I'm really enjoying this California life. I head back inside and suddenly my whole stomach turns into a pack of wild butterfly's. I see her and she looks gorgeous. I can't help but stare.

                London's pov:

      Tessa finishes my makeup and starts to put it away. " Hey London believe it or not but i think Emilio's got a special lady in his life!"
        " Oh really," i say as pain fills my stomach seeping it's way into my veins. I know i have known him for not long at all but i have already fell head over heels for him. Trust me I wish I hadn't but you can't blame me. Look at him. "Who?"
     " I don't know, he didn't tell me, it's not like it is me or anything so I didn't ask." Tessa says putting away the last of her makeup. 
      I can't help but get upset, I keep it inside because I really don't feel like explaining this whole situation with Tessa right before we see him. I put on a brave face and try my best to hide all of the pain.
      " Let's go party!" Tessa hollers as she grabs my hand and pulls me down the stairs. I chuckle because of Tessa's amazing outgoing personality. But then the whole world stops, as if him and i are the only ones in the world. I look at him with pain in my eyes, he's smiling, obviously happy. I wonder if this special girl is coming to the party.
      I wave at him trying to act like nothing ever happened. Jake comes into the kitchen where everyone is and says, " Hey the party's not in the kitchen everyone! Logan's gonna be here in a few so let's go get ready to SWIM!" Jake says enthusiastically in his hilarious party attitude!
    Erika puts her arm around me and smiles as we are going out to the pool.

Emilios pov:

We all walk out of the glass doors that lead to the pool area. The outdoors look beautiful, the pool is lined with golden fairy lights. Must have been Ericas idea! I look at London as she admires the pool. I get nervous thinking of how I am gonna ask her out and give her the necklace.
I try not to worry and decide to just go with the flow. I feel as if it will mean more if I just do it randomly unplanned. She looks beautiful, as I already said, I use all of my power to turn my eyes away from her.
I rip off my shirt and jump into the warm, heated, pool. "WOAHHH" i shout initiating that everyone else's should come in the pool. London takes off her denim shorts and does a backflip into the pool. Wow, she's hot and cool.
She splashes water in my face making me laugh. Tessa, Jake, Chance, and Anthony all jump in. Apollo runs outside too and starts to bark as Logan walks out. Logan makes a big scene and does a triple front flip into the pool. Jealousy fills me as London swims over to Logan and gives him a giant hug.
I know nothing is going on between them, they are just best friends, but it still gets to me. For an hour or so we all just hang out in the pool. Me and London play chicken against Erika and Jake. Even though it's not official everyone knows that something is going on between Erika and Jake.
Eventually everyone is out of the pool and just relaxing. I see London over on the soft ground staring at the stairs. I can tell that she is homesick. I walk over and slide onto the ground next to London, staring into the sky. The silence was perfect, she knew I was there, I knew she was there, the presence of each other was enough for the whole world.
" Hey London, come with me, I have something to tell you!" I say offering my hand helping her get up. She just smiles and follows me.
We head down to the side of the house where i have set up a cute little fairy light teepee.

London's pov:

He brings me to a cute little teepee that makes my heart glow. I can't help but feel so comfortable around him, like he is the only home I need. He laid next to me earlier and just stared at the stars with me. We spoke, but through silence.
I look into his deep green eyes, feeling like i could drown in them. I'm confused because I was told by Tessa that he was surprising some girl. I'm oblivious to the fact that i could be that girl.
" London I have thought you were beautiful since the first time i laid my eyes on you. You are so uplifting, funny, and make me feel like the luckiest guy in the world because i get the chance to get to know you. I really hope you will give me a chance and be my girlfriend!" His words fall over me, making me feel extremely happy! Before I can say yes Emilio pulls a black box out of his pocket and says, " Here is my first name until I can give you my last," the necklace is gold with his name imprinted on it.
I run into his arms and say, " Yes Emilio, Yes! Nothing else in the world could make me happier!" We embrace for a few minutes, wishing this moment would last forever.
     I let go of him and he brushes his fingers against my neck putting the necklace around my neck. His touch sends shivers down my spine. We hold hands and walk back out to the party.
      In that moment i realize something, Emilio Martinez is now my boyfriend. The most handsome,caring, guy in the world. I couldn't be any luckier. You know maybe California will change my life, for the good!
