I got the note when I was breaking into a house, I was being payed to go into a rich scumbag's home and steal a stick, when all of the sudden a owl swooped in landed on my head and screeched triggering all the alarms in the house. Quickly dashing outside I threw the Owl off my head, the owl flew off and landed a few feet away taunting me. I made a grab for it, but it was too fast, then it dropped a letter from it's claws, and flew away.

Grabbing the letter out of the air I opened the seal and red the note.

I scoffed at the obvious prank, tossing the letter away behind my shoulder. I continued on my way walking as fast as possible away from the building I had just broken into. My phone buzzed in my back pocket the caller ID red 'Kanan' I groaned, I didn't have his stick, and I needed the reward.

Quickly I dashed back to the house, scaled the wall, avoided all the weird traps and triggers and left the building. I didn't even know how I was able to get the stick so fast It was like the stick flew to my hand. Running now back out the building I ran to Kanan's place knocking on his door as I tried to regain my breath. The door opened revealing a man with a visor on. "Do you have it?" He asked and I handed over the stick.

"13½", Yew, phoenix feather core,18", Elm, dragon heartstring." Kanan spoke running his hand up and down the wand's fractured shaft later on in his living room. Then he snapped it underfoot sending sparks in the air. "The last of a bad memory." Then he looked right at me, or what ever it's called when a blind guy 'looks' at you for a while.

"I'm guessing you want the crystal." I nodded, he knew my answer so in one sweeping movement he pulled a crystal out of mid air. Tossing it to me he motioned at my backpack, "Lets see it." I hesitated for a second wondering if it was safe, and if that was a joke. Cautiously I pulled out the materials, he motioned me to give him the pieces, I thought I could take the blind man so I let him hold the scrap I had in order to create the weapon, the same one who's blueprints I'd found in the trashcan two years ago, I had modified the appearance and abilities but I knew It would work.

Suddenly the pieces in the old man's hands floated up and started to assemble themselves, my mouth gaping I watched as the blind man created a laser sword in mid air, and I lost all idea of beating him in a fight. Kanan then tossed me the finished weapon to me and I grasped hit's hilt, "How?" I asked stuttering slightly. Kanan smiled a mysterious smile, "You'll see soon enough." Kanan then walked me to the door, and right before he closed the door he asked me a question that I never anticipated, "Did you get any letters today?"
