"I welcome you to my humble abode. Please enter." He says opening the door further so I have room to enter his humble abode. I immediately look around inspecting everything I could glue my eyes to. I also look around for Maya.

"You have a really nice house. I didn't really get to see it when we video chatted." Maybe I shouldn't've mentioned that. It was really bad and awkward. He wouldn't talk to me for days.

"Yeah. Thanks. My family has a lot of money. I don't really think we deserve it." That was not the conversation I thought I as starting. Please change the topic. Please change the topic. "You wanna see Maya? She doesn't really like new people, but she's seen you before. So hopefully she'll be okay." Thank God he changed the topic. I nod and smile.

He grabs my hand and starts dragging me through his house. He swings me past a bookcase filled with blank books. He's taller than me, so I'm stumbling over my feet trying to keep up with him. I feel like a new born deer trying to run with my older siblings in the forest and I'm the one that's gonna get eaten by the wolves. He whips me around a corner into a room and slams the door behind us. He flicks the lights to reveal a very elaborate and expensive looking room. I look around, kind of spinning.

"Hey." he whispers softly, capturing my attention. His hazel, more like green, eyes bore into mine. "I know my house is really extra, but it's all my mom, I promise." He grabs my hand again and leads me to his room.

"I think this is moving a bit too fast for me, Ryan."

"Alright, Bright. I don't even know I like you enough for that yet." I appreciate that he can respond to sarcasm well. He stands over me like he's trying to cast a shadow and pecks my cheek, "I do know how ever that I would...at some point, like you to be the first boy I kiss."
