Ring ring
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's Mimik."
"Oh, hey."
"So...you wanted to see my skateboard, but you never video chatted me and texting too weird so calling is the next best thing."
"Hmm. I suppose so." Your voice doesn't sound the way I though it would. It's deeper, richer. Grittier. I can almost feel your vocal chords shaking in your throats and I love it. I love you.
"Your voice doesn't sound the way I thought it would."
"Yeah? How so?"
"Its deeper than I thought it would be. I can tell you're from California, though."
"How? Can you read my mind? Are you in my house? How do you do theses things?" Joking obviously.
He laughs. Oh, I love his laugh. I just want his face to match his voice. I want every bit of him to be as beautiful as his personality and his voice.
"It's just the way you pronounce your words. I learned that so people couldn't tell I wasn't born in America."
"Well, where were you born then?"
"Australia. I know apparently it's the super cool, amazing thing, but people made fun of me so I moved schools and changed my accent."
"That sucks. I can kind of relate."
"Yeah how?" I shift my phone a little. Making his voice more clear.
"People at my old school knew I was gay. They teased me for it so I changed schools and 'changed' my sexuality. I basically tried to be straight."
"Shit. That's a kick in the ass."
"Isn't it?" My mom calls me downstairs. I don't want to hang up, but my mom doesn't know about him. My mom doesn't know a lot of things. I have to hang up. "Mimik. I'm sorry I gotta go my mom needs something. I'll chat you later?"
"Yeah. That's cool."
