Our eyes met. His blue eyes bore into mine, and I couldn't look away. His face was showing no emotion, yet his eyes said so much. His friend pushed him across the rest of the street. Our eye-contact was broken and my brain automatically started working. 'I'm never going to see him again,' I thought. Then I kept walking.

His face burned in the back of my mind. For whatever reason I could not forget him. I played that moment over and over in my mind. His strong gaze had made me feel something I'd never felt before. All I knew was that I had fallen. Hard.
