"Sakura?"
...

...

...

...

"You're finally awake, Sakura."

She gasped when she realized where she was. She was in a hospital bed. Surrounded by the few nurses who were with her a while ago, along with Tsunade.

"Why are you here, Shisou?" She asked in a low and tired voice. Having a hard time trying to remember what happened beforehand.

"I was called by the nurses, you fainted." Tsunade saying as-a-matter-of-factly. "You almost used all of your chakra forcefully. Are you trying to kill yourself or what?!" Crossed arms, glaring at Sakura who was strucked.

That's right! I remember!

"KAKASHI-SENSEI! WHERE IS HE?" Tsunade flinched at the abrupt outburst. Then returned to her normal state.

"You shouldn't really be putting your life on the line for some old man like me, you know, Sakura." A deep voice joined the conversation. Sakura looked to her left, seeing Kakashi in a similar hospital bed. He was looking at her in awe. She sighed in relief. She saved him. She was more than elated that she hopped off the bed and checked to see if Kakashi was really doing fine.

"Ka...kakashi...sensei..." she held his face making sure he was real. "You're alright!" She propped herself onto him, embracing him into a hug.

"Why... Why did you do that, hm?"

"It's my job to do so, idiot. I should be the one asking you, why did you do that, sensei?!"

"It's... A long story." He sighed. "You can let go of me now." The young woman's tight embrace made him quite uneasy and awkward, he blushed.

"Uwaaa! Uh-I-I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hold onto you for that long!" She let go abruptly, now standing beside his hospital bed with hands behind her, face flushed.

"It's okay, Sakura. I understand." Kakashi smiled and let out a chuckle  under his mask. His thoughts consumed him, if it wasn't for her. What happened prior to the predicament was making rounds of flashbacks in his head. It disturbed him more than he thought it would.

"Sakura, I'll leave him to you.
I suppose you're okay now." Tsunade commanded then all the other nurses followed her, leaving the two of them alone.

"Thank you, Shisou!" The pinkette bowed before her. After so, she faced Kakashi who seemed to be out of this earth. She sighed, what could be the cause of his grief? The only way to know is to ask him... Or find out for herself.

"Uhm... Kakashi-sensei?" She was hesitant, she didn't want to pop his bubble of thoughts. He looked so concentrated.

"Oh. What is it, Sakura?" He snapped out of it. Should I tell her? "By the way, when am I supposed to be discharged?"

"Nevermind... It's nothing..." Purposefully changing the topic. "You'll leave as soon as you're doing fine, but not now."

"Is that so? Okay then." He laid his head back and closed his eyes. Before he drifted away, these memories played once again in his mind.

It was almost noon. Jumping from one tree to another. He gracefully passed as he was about to return from his mission. All of a sudden, he stopped after seeing a familiar figure—No, two familiar figures.
