"If..."

Scotland, 13th Century
(Brier Keep)

“Aaah, now I’m proud to look at this!” Ryan held up a bottle of wine, gazing proudly at it. “Albabria whiskey started by Lord Ryan Saxshire X; whiskey made from malt, grain whiskeys, soft raisins, coffee and fresh malt which were prudently grown in fields in both Scotland and England.
Wine that had matured for two centuries in oak caskets in Scotland under the constant care of...
Ryan paused then went on, producing the smoothest, lingering and undeniably soothing sensation. Alcohol volume is 45%.” “Wow! The writing is just right and the design, perfect!”

“There ye are!” Lwanna shouted as she walked towards him with Dan and Lady Keith.

Ryan hugged her close, laughing. “Tis perfect, love, our Albabria whiskey is perfect!”

Lwanna gently pushed him away. “Where is Sir MacCoff? The Keiths are asking for him and_ ah, there he is.”
The Keiths walked forward to meet him.
“They are planning on going to pay Lord Blackmore a visit in London.” She explained when he stared bleakly after them. “Will you be joining them_?”

“The Elders if you please, Lady Lwanna.” Dan cut in, coming to stand in between them. “Am I interrupting something?” He feigned innocence, grinning when Ryan grunted. “And we are not merely going to visit; someone presented an issue that I have been wondering when we’ll act upon it. It’s about how our offspring are causing mayhem wherever they trod. A sizeable amount has been caught but surprisingly enough they disappeared before further interrogation or research could be done_, your’ doing, I guess.” He nodded at Lwanna who merely shrugged. “Well, you’re doing great with that Lwanna but I wish you would pause for a while because that’s what the fools have in mind and the reason why they act blindly, not caring about being caught or of those they are attacking.” “Hmm,” Dan completed with a sigh.

Lwanna smiled fondly at him. Dan and Blackmore were such dedicated men; ever since they fully adapted to their new selves and two centuries now, they have steered the Vampire kind perfectly although Ryan did come in now and then.
They had also formed this C.E, Council of Elders of the kind meant to see to their affairs with Ryan, the Lord Vampire as their head which is so unfortunate, according to her.
The Test she had thought long over seemed not to be so, and Ryan was still far from being duty dedicated but thanks to these two, the future is promising.
She nodded at something Sir Keith said to Dan, they had joined them.

“The Lord Vampire must be present.” Dan warned. “Tis necessary we decide on something to do with these fools who are not ready to listen to advice. And you too, Lwanna, your presence will be greatly appreciated.”

Ryan was not happy with this. “If tis that necessary, then the rest of you, Elders must be present_ I’ll be the only one missing_”

“The Head of the C.E at that!” Sir MacCoff pressed and Ryan swung away, mumbling words of protest under his breath. Words they all heard well.

“Lwanna?” Dan looked eagerly at her, knowing that if she agrees to come with them Ryan will as well.

“Hmmm,” Lwanna scratched her jaw, thinking. “Alright, but it must not last for long, I have to go to my People.”

Dan grinned.
