Destiny Michelle Hanover is the sixteen year old daughter of Michael and Candace Hanover. She's the little half-sister of Duke and was born on August 17, 2001. Destiny is a fashionable, unique, friendly, adventurous, upbeat, brutally honest, bright, sassy, sometimes selfish and lazy, yet somewhat ditzy, totally naive young girl. She is described as a daring wild child who is uncontrollable, funky, and fun on her school's blog. She's street-smart rather than book-smart, unlike her best friend Zoey. She sometimes always has to have her way. She is spoiled, selfish and shallow. However, she gradually improves as the series progresses. Destiny is fearless, outgoing and is constantly getting into trouble, even dragging her friends into these situations. Just like her father she's very close to him like he was to her. She's a daddy's girl but she grew out of it.....well kinda, it's complicated.
Duke Tomlin Hanover is the twenty three year old son of Candace and unknown. His stepfather is Michael and his step grandma is Loretta. He's the older half brother of Destiny and was born on October 17. Duke is Destiny's hip, smooth, and sarcastic older brother who is popular at school, loves to dance, and knows how to charm the girls. He is seen as a very cheerful, sociable guy and always seems to have a date. Being raised with his sister, he is also logical and smart, especially when it comes to him and his money. His personality shone through mostly when he rapped about things like cheap haircuts and had to consult Adam to up his bad boy image. Although Duke hasn't claimed to have any girlfriends, he went on a date with Tiffany, but nothing further has been shown about their relationship. He graduated from UCLA and is planning on getting his masters degree in accounting/business. Him and Adam are best friends and are living together in a two bedroom, one bath apartment.
