I sprinted down my street and rested at the traffic lights, taking a deep breath I stood up straight. Cars were moving past at a usual speed, the headlights annoying me as they whizzed past the group of people I stood with.

Finally, the light went green. I jogged across before returning to a speed walk. I'm glad Taehyung invited me over, he was visiting his parents for a while, and before that we were both busy. I've missed him.

I think he just got back yesterday actually, is it the third? Oh well.

I saw the final steps to reach his home, I smiled and ran - happily knocking on the door once I reached the top. There was a small click before the door opened, revealing a joyful Taehyung. "Jungkook! That was fast, come in come in," he stood aside letting me enter.

Ahhh I missed him

I sat down on the couch, Tae flopping beside me and goofily hugging me, "how've you been? I have seen you in aaaaages!" He cooed smiling, I chuckled and poked his cheek. "I've been fine, just been talking to Jimin and Jin mostly," I answered.

Fine with that

"How was your parents?" I questioned, tilting my head slightly as he sat back a bit - but leaving his arm around my shoulder. Some pointless TV show played in the background. "It was good, I hadn't seen them in a while, so it was nice catching up," he replied simply.

"What are they like?" I asked, rather curious. I hadn't even heard about Tae's parents before this, while he had sat and talked to mind for a while. I wanted to know, I really wanted to know actually. Why? I don't know, just one of those things.

Knew this would come up

"They're nice, we get along well. But it's not like your family where you all joke around most of the time, it's just not how we talk." He explained staring at the clock, it's small ticks could only just be heard over the TV commercials.

I stayed silent, I didn't need to know his thoughts. He wants to tell me something. I stayed quiet for a minute, giving him time to plan his sentence. I know the feeling of not knowing the best way to say something, and planning how a conversation could go.

"They're... mildly homophobic you could say. Not in the sense that they would get angry or anything. More of it's just not something they see a lot, it's unfamiliar and - a bit confusing in a way? Mostly like, they just don't really get it. Like, it would make them a bit uncomfortable, but not really bad."

I listened to every word, replaying what he said in my head again. "What do you want to do?" I questioned as I looked at the TV, suddenly interested in it for some reason. "W-what do you mean?" Was his reply.

"They're your parents, and it's up to you on how you go about the situation. You could talk to them, not tell them, dump me and go straight. You have options," I told him biting my finger nail since it was annoying me.

"I'm not going to dump you just because of my parents!" Tae seemed to gasp at the thought, "I would never!"

"Then don't."
"I won't.
"Then stick to it, do what you feel is right.

There was a knock at the door, Tae jumped up and jogged to the door. There was a small conversation before the door closed once more and Tae ran over with food, I took the bag from him and set everything up on the floor as he grabbed chopsticks for us both.

About time!

I opened the containers, he deliberately ordered for two. I chuckled and smiled as I was handed the utensils. We just ate and continued to talk about Taes parents, his concerns weren't too huge, which is a plus. But he would be nervous to talk to them.

"Don't worry hyung, I'll help you no matter what."
