Lark?" Poe's voice sounded worried.

I snapped back into reality and looked at everyone around the room, "What sort of doubt?"

Rey rolled her eyes, "Doubt in your safety here, doubt in our trust in you, doubt in the Light side... Just to name a few."

I stood there in shock. Sure I knew Rey didn't like me but her tone was more than a mere dislike, she almost hated me.

"Okay Rey, I get it. You don't like me at all. I crashed on this planet and somehow had the Force. I don't get it either but at least I tried my best to be friendly to everyone here." I took in a breath, "I see how you look at me and Poe, you are disgusted. But if the Force didn't want me to be with him there would have been a sign. I don't care if it's against the old Jedi code, but the new one doesn't have any restrictions on love. So get your lightsaber out of your ass and grow up."

She huffed and took a seat and sat, arms crossed, at some control panel. Everyone in the room got tense, while I stood closer to Poe. He put his arm around me comfortingly, waiting for someone to speak.

Leia sighed, "I'm glad to hear your loyalties have not faltered, between the Resistance and Poe you have kept up with your duties. However that's not quite what Luke is asking of you."

"There is a hint of the Dark Side creeping it's way into your heart."

——

I woke up with a jolt. This was the fourth nightmare I've had this week. Holding my head in my hands I sat against the headboard and thought about my dream.

Poe was leading me away from the fight, weapons in hand. My lightsaber cast a strange glow on the ground, wavering while we ran. I spotted a small clearing ahead and yelled to Poe, "We can stop there!"

His course may have changed but his motive didn't, his thoughts were clouded with the desire to save me at the cost of his life. Once at the clearing a fell to my knees, the toughness of the battle catching up to me.

"Are you okay?" Poe kneeled beside me, a hand on my back.

I looked into his eyes and pulled his lips to mine, not knowing if this was the last time I would feel them against my own. Passion and sorrow mixed while the sounds of the battle rang in our ears. I felt the tears start to fall down my face and Poe pulled away.

He wiped my cheeks, "Everything will be alright."

Suddenly he body was lifted and thrown back into a tree. I screamed and ran to his side, only to be stopped by the same force that grabbed Poe. My body turned around despite my liking and I was faced with a man in a black mask with sliver accents.

"LR-3915, your mission is complete. Please, follow me back to the rescue shuttle." His robotic voice had no hint of any emotion.

"Lark..." Poe's voice was barely audible.

With all my willpower I managed to free myself from the cloaked figures grasp and ran to Poe's side.

"I'm here, don't worry." Tears streamed down my face when I noticed what was wrong. When he hit the tree his back hit and branch and it went right through him.

"You, you were a spy?" His speech getting even quieter.

I held his face in my hands, "Please Poe, just stay with me for a little longer."

It took a lot but he looked up at me, "I love you Lark, no matter what."

"I love you too Poe."

Before I could pull him into one last embrace my body was pushed aside and the cloaked man ignited his saber and the red blade went right through Poe's chest.

"No!" I tried to move closer but he was too strong.

"Lark?"

My hands dropped to my sides and I got out of bed, letting my legs take me into the bathroom. I stepped into the tub and just sat there, not wanting my crying to disturb Poe anymore than it already did. But much to my disliking there was a knock at the bathroom door and I heard Poe step inside.

"I'm fine Poe."

No answer. I squeaked once I felt myself getting picked up and placed onto the toilet lid. My eyes wandered back to Poe and the tub. He had brought some blankets from our bed and put two in the tub as a liner. Then he sat himself inside and grabbed the pillow and laid his head on it.

"You going to join me?" His voice soft and tired.

I picked up the largest blanket and stepped inside the tub, positioning myself against his. The blanket shielded us from the cool breeze coming in from the windows.

"You're safe with me, don't forget it."

Just as I was about to protest I heard soft snores coming from Poe and I knew he was sleeping.

——

I shook my head, "I don't feel any doubt."

Luke visibly sighed, "You may not feel it but it's there. However I'm still not sure as to if it's from you or something else... someone else."

"Luke you don't mean..." Leia began but Rey stopped her.

"Kylo Ren."

Poe slammed his fist on the table, "If you even bring up that bastard I won't hesitate girl."

"Poe please, it's not completely out of the picture. Perhaps Ren had captured her in the first place because Snoke sensed the Force in her. But her escape caught them off guard and they have been searching for us." Luke added.

I shook my head, "In my time at the base I never saw Kylo Ren, I'm not sure he could have known."

Rey scoffed, "If Kylo didn't know it just proves his ignorance. As soon as I came near you I felt the force, to say that you never saw him is bullshit. Unless you're hiding more from us."

"This Snoke you speak of, how powerful is he exactly?" I directed my question towards Luke.

"Very. His presence is strong. Much stronger than any other force user I have come across. He is able to sense a force user from who knows how far away, which is surprising. You've been here almost ten months and still no sign of the First Order attacking our base."

"We are well hidden." Rey added.

Luke glared at her and continued, "You lark, are very strong with the force. Stronger than Rey. I'm not sure how but I am sure of it."

"Now Luke I doubt that is true..." Rey tried to prove him wrong.

Leia just sighed, "Rey, I think it's best you leave now. You are dismissed."

She scoffed, "This isn't over."

With that she left and it was just four of us left. Throughout this entire meeting Poe never took his hand off my back. It was comforting yet worried me.

"Do we have any concerns of Lark's safety? Do we need to station guards outside our room. Snoke could be plan..." Poe's words spilled from his mouth.

Luke interrupted him, "No. I do not feel any other disturbances for now. If I sense his arrival you will be the first to know."
