'Oh god, so annoying! How can he just decide things for me like that?! Who does he think he is?! My mother?!'
I stomped through the school hall in irritation. I was chosen to be the student council vice president, normally; people would be thrilled to have their skills acknowledged. But in my case, when I have someone pulling the strings for my--more like their success, of course I'd be irritated!
Akashi was behind all of this, or at least that's what I was told when I asked why I had been chosen. Apparently his words around this school are ABSOLUTE. The teachers cower in fear at his mention--Well, not really, they're teachers and he's a mere student after all. They do respect and have utter faith in him though, which is annoying to see.
He has them all wrapped around his little finger, he probably doesn't think much of them as they do of him. But then again, maybe because I'm new here and not used to him or his GREATNESS, I probably have no sense of restraint towards him and can just snap at him like its okay--which I will probably regret later...
Reika, or whatever her name was, admired him to the point I thought it was crazy. If I hadn't shut her up, she would've probably given me a summary of his life. If she admired him, then all the students most probably did too. But rather than admiring him, maybe they just feared him. Confusing respect or admiration with fear is a really stupid thing to do.
I sighed, trying to cool off my head.
Well whatever, it's not like there's anything I can do about it anyway. Now that I think about it though, I haven't really chosen a club yet because my--source of irritation-- interrupted.
There were classes to attend, but they weren't as important as others so I decided it was okay to skip them.
I walked around the school aimlessly before stumbling across the basketball club. I'd heard about how amazing Rakuzan's basketball team was, but I was never interested enough to check it out. But since I'm here anyway, it won't hurt to look inside and see the basketball players, if they were there in the first place.
Peeking through the slightly open steel door, I immediately spotted a boy with red hair, one who could only be Akashi. It's not like he was the only person around the school with red hair, but for now, or for me, he is.
I was about to retreat before I was spotted, but my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to stay and see how things played out.
The other basketball players were all gathered around him. There was probably one missing though, since I read a basketball team consisted of five players, and if there were any others, they'd be benched. However, judging from Akashi's personality, he wouldn't allow those who weren't good enough to be around him.
One thing happened after the other and before I knew it, Akashi had beaten them all in a practice game he had initiated with each one of them singularly, or in basketball terms, one-on-one...? I wasn't even sure what had happened though, all I was sure of was that he had undoubtedly won.
He turned around instinctively, his eyes meeting mine. I jumped back in surprise.
"You can come in. Groveling around like a dog does not suit you."
