"Are you aware your father has been dealing drugs with the Cuban Cartel?"
What the hell did he just say? Were my first thoughts.
"He what..."
"Your father, Henry Ryder, has been dealing drugs with this cartel for 17 years. since the day you were born. were you aware of this?"
Thats when i snapped.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? THAT PIECE OF SHIT!"
"Okay so I'll take that as a no. Next question."
"What bank does your father use?"
"I don't fucking know."
I really didn't.
The guy was pissing me off.
He stood up from his chair sat in front of the shield i was strapped to.
"Are you sure about that miss. beckonoff?" He slurred using my mothers madden name.
He pulled out a switch blade and held it under my throat.
Okay you know what?
Two can play this game.
But my mother words came back to my head.
Do not fight, plead for your life.
Sorry mom.
i kneed him in the crotch.
He bent over for a second and sucked up a breath.
"Don't get in my face. Why would i lie to you about someone who lied to me for 17 years? get your head out of your ass Antonio." I kept a strong determined look and my voice flat.
He stood up rage in his eyes but also shock.
I guess not a lot of people stick it to him.
And if they did, i doubt they lived to tell.
"You'll regret that princessa."
"How did you get into this business anyway?"
How was i so confident?
I had no idea why this fear of mine came and went but it wasn't with me now.
"I'll be asking the questions here." He spoke sternly.
"Actually how bout we take turns?" i pose.
He looked beyond annoyed.
"No." He says through gritted teeth.
"Okay have it your way." I turned my head to the side in defiance.
"Jesus, okay okay god. what do you mean?"
Did i just crack a Cuban cartel torture gang member?
Go me.
"You ask a question, i answer honestly.
I ask a question, you answer honestly."
Although i knew drug dealers of any kind were not the most honest kind of people.
Aka my father.
He sighed and ran a hand over his face looking back to me with a skeptical look.
I just grinned at him.
A huge Cheshire Cat grin.
"Fine fine." he caved.
He caved.
Do i have power over this boy?
"Good. my turn then." I let the words fall from my lips.
Let the games begin.
