Demon or Goddess?

Jealousy

Zeldris' POV:

The next day we met Meliodas at the waterfall cave again but this time he seemed annoyed well and angry.

"What's the matter?" I asked

"Ask Elizabeth" he glared at me

"But she's not---" Meliodas cut Estarossa off

"Not here? That's what I thought but she is. She's outside"

"She is?"

"Yeah. And she's really starting to piss me off"

We went to the entrance of the cave and Meliodas pointed to where she was. He was right. She was with the sins (Meliodas has told us about them before) and kept glancing over at us. 

In the end Meliodas got too annoyed and activated his powers and flew over to her. When he landed he disabled them. Me and Estarossa quickly flew after him. This could be bad.

The sins were just watching but when we arrived they moved back. Meliodas and Elizabeth were arguing.

"You need to stop following me! And leave me alone!"

"How am I following you?!"

"You've been doing it all morning Elizabeth so don't play dumb!"

"Maybe I have been following you! But it's only because I don't trust them"

"It's not that you don't trust them! Your just jealous that I want to spend time with them instead of you!"

"I'm not jealous!"

"Uh huh sure your not"

The next thing we knew, Meliodas had put us in a perfect cube. Estarossa looked amazed but I knew that this was bad.

"Ban. You even try and touch them and I'll personally kill you myself"

We turned around and saw the tall light blue haired boy standing not too far away from us.

I realised what had happened. Elizabeth must've planned this. To get Meliodas down here knowing we'd follow him. That way she could get one of the sins to hurt us. But how did Meliodas know that Ban was going to do that. But knowing Ban's name made it easy to know who the others were.

"Why do you care about them that much?" Ban asked

"Why? Because they're my brothers" Meliodas exclaimed glaring at him

"B-brothers?" Ban gasped

"Yeah. And apart from the fact that they've done nothing wrong, your trying to attack them. And guess what, I won't let you hurt them"

"Your overreacting. After all, they're just Demons" Diane smirked at Elizabeth with her smirking back

I don't like this. They must have a bad feeling about it. They have a plan. They must have! I looked at Meliodas. He had his head down so that his eyes were covered by his bangs.

"Then what does that make me Diane?"

Diane realised what she said and took a step back.

"I-I didn't mean it like that"

"Then what did you mean? Because you're only doing this so I'll stay with Elizabeth but I won't. I'm not going to forgive her for what she's done"

"B-but your her brother. T-the Supreme Deity's son"

"No I'm not. I'm not a Goddess and I'm not her brother"

"Then who are you?"

"The question is what are you to me? You're meant to be my friend but it turns out that every race would prefer to lie to me rather than tell me the truth"

"But Meliodas! We do want to be your friend!" King exclaimed

"Really? Then why do you keep lying to me? So far the only people who haven't lied to me are those two and I've only known them for a few weeks" he motioned at us. I saw Elizabeth become angry at that.

"Exactly! We've known you since we were little and now your going to abandon us for people you've just met?!" Elizabeth yelled

"I never said that. But even though we did grow up together, you've all lied to me. So why should I continue to hang out with you?"

"The Supreme Deity. She'd kill you if you were being mean to Elizabeth"

I saw Meliodas smirk. I could sense his power levels going through the roof! This could be very bad!

"Is that so? Because to me the Supreme Deity is only keeping me here because she's scared of what I could become"

"She said that.....?" Diane gasped

"She doesn't intimidate me at all yet somehow she's scared of me, so who has the upper hand there?"

"Meliodas, we do want to be friends" Ban exclaimed

"Fine then. If you can beat me in a fight then I'll listen but if not then, well you'll have to wait and see"

"Deal! But what about magic powers? We don't exactly have swords" King asked

Meliodas nodded.

"Ban and Elizabeth are the exceptions so I'll go easy on them"

"So let me get this straight, you have to defeat all of us for something we don't even know?"

"That's right"

"Then we have the advantage don't we? We have more people to fight you them"

"Stop talking and let's go"

I saw black markings around Meliodas' hands and them creeping down his face. His power levels are higher than ever! I've never sensed a Demon this strong before! Well except my father!

"Mel is this a good idea?" I asked

"He'll be fine Zeldris. I'm sure you can sense it too"

"I can and that's why I'm worried! I don't want him to actually kill them"

"I won't kill them Zeldris. Besides, where's the fun in that?"

Meliodas turned to us and smiled. He then turned back to the sins and nodded for them to begin. This is not going to be good.
