Elizabeth's POV:
Meliodas loves the Archangels. He's always looked up to them. Even though he's a Demon. Well he doesn't know that yet but still.
I kinda feel bad as everyone else knows. The Archangels, my mother, heck even the town people know who he really is. Because of that everyone is a tiny bit wary of him. It's why I'm always with him.
But today Meliodas has probably been through the worst thing. We had greeted the Archangels after they had arrived back from a fight with the Demons ironically. But they weren't very welcoming. Especially Ludoshel.
Ludoshel just downright rejected him. He acted harsh to me aswell but more so to Meliodas. After that he ran to his room. I told the Archangels to be nicer to him as he still doesn't know about being a Demon.
They said that it doesn't matter and that when he finds out he'll act like any other Demon. I don't believe that though. I went to Meliodas' room and saw him sitting on his bed. He looked at me and but then looked away.
"What's the matter?" I asked
"Elizabeth, is there something your keeping from me?"
"What? Why would you think that?"
"Everyone treats me different here. It's not obvious but I've noticed. I think there's something your not telling me"
"Course not! I would tell you anything!"
I bit my tongue realising that I had lied. I knew he was a Demon and I knew he was a prince yet I haven't told him and don't plan to.
Meliodas' POV:
She's lying. So there is something she's not telling me. I know when she's lying because she bites her tongue. I can't believe she'd keep something from me.
Of course she's allowed to have her own secrets but when they're about me? I just want to know the truth.
When I was younger I never noticed it. All the stares I would receive, the whispers and glares. I've noticed it now that I'm older. But I still don't know why. The other day I asked the Supreme Deity about it and that's when I noticed something horrible.
She hesitated to answer and then told me that she'd tell me when I'm older. That annoyed me. After all, I'm old enough to understand so why won't she tell me?
The worst thing is that Elizabeth knows. And it feels like everyone else apart from me knows too. So why won't they tell me? I just hope I find out soon.
