Diane's POV:
Meliodas and Elizabeth joined us today but I knew there was some hostility around them.
Once again Meliodas brought his books and has been reading them instead of talking with us. In the end, he went back to the Goddess Realm to grab more books.
He told us that he'll be back in a bit but never returned. Elizabeth got mad at this and told us to follow her. She took us to the Goddess Realm but we didn't have time to awe because Elizabeth took us straight to the palace.
She opened the door to what she said was her mother's study and then took us in. We were so nervous. What was Elizabeth planning?
"Elizabeth, I thought you were out with your friends" the Supreme Deity said
"I need to talk to you about Meliodas"
We stayed quiet listening to their conversation.
"Meliodas? What's he done now?"
"We're trying to talk to him but he just keeps being rude to us"
"I thought Meliodas was here"
"He is now. He left but this was before that"
"I see. So what's he doing?"
"He's reading and I know he likes doing that but he keeps telling us to shut up and being rude"
She was lying to her mother. I can't believe that. The Supreme Deity looked at us to ask if it was true. I noticed Ban nod as if to say it was true.
"Very well"
The Supreme Deity told one of the maids to go get Meliodas. She did and a few minutes later he arrived. Not suprisingly he was reading.
He closed the book and looked up at the Supreme Deity. He noticed us and then looked back at the Supreme Deity confused.
"What's going on?" He asked
"Meliodas I have to say I'm disappointed in you"
"Huh?"
"I think you owe your friends an apology"
"What have I done?"
"Being rude and disrespectful to them. That wasn't how I raised you"
"What?! I've never---"
"I don't want excuses Meliodas. I know that Elizabeth wouldn't lie to me and your friends certainly wouldn't"
"But I----"
"Meliodas I want you to apologise and then spend the rest of the day in your room"
Meliodas looked down and I noticed his grip tighten on his book. He looked at us but nobody could meet his gaze. I noticed his eyes tear up. He turned and then walked off.
"Meliodas" the Supreme Deity said
He stopped but didn't turn around.
"I want you to think about what you've done and I expect an apology to your friends before they go"
He continued walking and then left the room.
"Elizabeth, you and your friends may play upstairs. But don't bother Meliodas as he needs to be punished. Your friends may stay for dinner"
"Thank you mother"
Elizabeth looked at us and smiled.
"Let's go to my room"
