When Carlos and Evie opened the door to Carlos and Jay's dorm, Dude jumped off his doggy bed and snuggled up next to Evie's booted foot, making Evie softly giggle.

"Dude, really?" Carlos asked.

"What? I like her boots." Dude said, as he looked up the two teenagers. Evie smiled as a tear rolled down her cheek. Carlos glared at the dog before sitting Evie on his own bed.

"What did you do to Evie?" Jay asked, as he sat down next to his bluenette friend.

Evie giggled. "He didn't do anything, Jay. Ben accidentally kissed me and when we told Carlos, Mal overheard and now she won't let me explain what fully happened."

Jay wrapped his arm around Evie -in a comforting manner. After all, he was the only one who knew Carlos had a crush on their friend- and she leaned into his shoulder. Tears streaked the young girl's face and being the friends they were, they boys decided they should follow on with their weekly movie night, just without Mal.

Carlos spoke up first. "Hey, what movie do you wanna watch Evie?"

Evie shrugged. "Whatever you two wanna watch. I'll probably be asleep as soon as you start to movie. I was up all night last night."

"Well," Carlos started. "You can get comfy on my bed and if you fall asleep, I'll sleep on the couch."

"You sure? I mean, I could always go back to my dorm and get ignored by Mal. You get used to it after a while. After all, she ignored me when we were kids." Evie said.

"Evie, it's okay. You can stay in here for tonight. We'll bring you breakfast in the morning if you want." Jay said, helping Evie lie down in Carlos's bed.

Evie could feel soft rising and dropping under hands and head.

Pillows breathe? Well, Carlos's must. Either that or it's an earthquake.

Ha. Don't be silly, Evie. It can't be an earthquake.

Evie cracked her eye open for a peek, and Jay was asleep in his own bed. Carlos wasn't on the couch, so it turned out she was sleeping with...
