Band Academy

Twilight

It was the second day of school. Mala and I got dressed and walked to our first class. I had Mr. Burnley, she had Mr. Crahan so we split off eventually.

There weren't many people I knew in my class. Sara had Mr. Radke and Mala had Mr. Crahan. I sat alone.

Mr. Burnley walked into the class. "Good morning," He said. "I don't do much in homeroom, so let me just say a few things before I let you go off and do your own thing. So, in this class, your gonna learn how to be in a band and how to get better at your instrument. If you don't have what you need, the school has it. You can go ahead and do whatever now. I just wanted to say that." So the rest of the class sat around and talked.

My next class was history with Ronnie Radke. I sat next to a girl named Cecilia. I sat next to her yesterday. She seemed cool. She had Blue and purple hair and it was shaved at both sides, like a Mohawk. She didn't really speak that much, but we had a small conversation before the class ended. My next class was art and Cecilia had Math so we said our goodbyes.

In art, I sat next to a cute kid named Jonathan. He had Brown hair and Brown eyes. We sat behind an annoying bitch named Diana. She seemed to follow Jonathan everywhere and he hated it. I don't really blame him. She seemed annoying and stuck up. I'd hate her too.

Mr. Way gave us a project so we had something to do. We had to draw a design from our favorite band. I, of course, chose my favorite band Black Veil Brides. I couldn't really tell what he was drawing but oh well. 

Class was almost over so I began to pack up my stuff. Jonathan looked at my sketch book that I left on the table. I shouldn't have left that there. That was personal stuff. 

"Nice art," he said. "A little angry and depressing but I like it. If you don't know it already, I'm Jonathan Stewart. What's your name?" 

"Oh. Um, I'm Twilight Rose," I said quietly.

"Oh, a shy one. Well, that will change. I guess I'll see you around?"

My eyes widened in surprise. I never really got noticed, especially from boys. I have to admit. He's pretty cute considering I'm gay. 

I finished packing my stuff and got ready for my next class. I had Math with Charlie Scene.

There was no one I knew in my math class so I sat alone. We were just going through rules and policies. Who knew Charlie Scene could be so serious as a teacher. While he spoke, I drew. I wasn't really listening until a note was thrown at me. I unfolded it and read it. 

It said something about a girl named Luna. It said so many rude things. I wanted to mind my own business but it was hard. I felt bad for her. I've had to deal with this before. It's not fun. I wanna find her and be her friend. It is the least I can do.
