The Life that I Chose

I always remembered my mother's words "Magic is magic, be it used to help or hinder. What you use it for will determine what kind of person you really are." I know she was a pure hearted lady. I do miss them both every now and then. But still I dont want to live that life with the  supernatural beings. At the age of 18, after my parent's death, I was asked to marry the only heir of the Porter's. James Porter had planned to get me married to his son Rick Porter who was 19 years old. I have never seen his son in my life and I never wanted to. James Porter was very keen on getting my father's throne and so he wanted me to marry his only son and make him the king. I was already terribly broken on seeing my parent's death. James Porter gave me a few days time to prepare myself for the wedding with his son Rick Porter. I was locked up all alone on my very own castle where I lived a very happy life once.

I chose to leave this place somehow. But I wasn't able to fight these people.
All I did was thinking a way to get out of here. There was a screech on the window. When I opened them, I saw the hope of my life. Mina was standing there witchcrafting the roots to my window. I got down from the castle with the help of the roots. On giving Mina a tightest hug in the world, we both left the Archer's empire that day.

We wandered over a fortnight. We were able survive only because Mina was a green witch. She got us plenty of fruits using her crafts. Later, we made sure that we moved off far away from the Archer's empire. We entered a human town with a name board that read "Welcome to Springfield". On the coven world we would age like humans every year and live long till 150-200years. For vampires,until they are stabbed at heart or burnt completely. For witches, until they are killed by a death causing spell prformed by a coven of witches. Here on the human world we would grow a year old once in a decade. I wanted to start this life as a normal earthily being. Mina was always my type, I was always felt like she was my sister. We both planned on building a cottage in the woods nearby until we could buy a house in the town of Springfield. Mina witchcrafted the green elements and built our cottage instantly. I wondered how fast she learnt to build her powers. She actually enjoyed the idea of living in the woods,as it was helpful for her to practice her witchcrafts.

Days passed by. As Mina was a witch, she cant be distinguished from the humans. And me, the so called princess of the Archer's empire,was only a human. We were both adapting to the new life that I chose. With new hopes and belief I started my life at the Springfield. I was very thankful for having a lovable soul as my friend.

We never had problem with the food,cloth and shelter. As Mina made clothes out of leaves and other available materials in the forest for both of us and gathered fruits to eat. It was too dark out that night as it was a new moon day. I remember my maid telling me that I was born on a new moon day. Well people say that was not a good sign. The woods were actually dark and creepy. and went into our cottage, Mina was asleep as soon as she lay on her bed. But I felt a urge through my veins which didn't let me sleep. Still I managed to close my eyes. Minutes later, I saw a fair witch with a glow around her. She kissed my forehead. I wondered who the beautiful lady was.

Dear Evelyn, I am your godmother Melissa. I was asked to protect you throughout your life. You are not what you think. The daughter of the most powerful witch and the most notable vampire cannot be a human dear. Release your powers and know yourself, for tonight is the right time. I am always here for you. You will be guided in the right path. Believe in yourself as your parents do.
