Chapter 25

Evan's POV
The wedding was perfect. We spent all night planning it, the colours, the food for our parents, entertainment. Everything. I stood now, staring at myself in the mirror, the suit was light blue to match the colour of my lover. Jonathan's was a reddish pink, though I haven't seen him in it yet. Amber had a pale green dress, with a tight top and layered knee length skirt in contrast to the regular tight, long ones, David had orangey suit, the colour of a sunset. We had seen everyone's except our partners. Though we could guess what they look like. I combed my hair a final time, tugged on my jacket and headed to the arch we had placed near the lake for the ceremony. Jonathan was still inside, set to arrive later and walk down the aisle with his brother, Tyler.My heart was pounding. David was already there, he bounced on his toes, waiting for Amber and her dad to come strolling in. My mum sat near the front with Amber's and David's. Craig sat at the back, alone. He refused to invite anyone, though Amber said she had one guest that he would love. I could only guess who. Suddenly, while I was lost in thought, the music began to play. Amber came down first, laughing shyly despite her serious look. David gasped and his eye's glistened when she approached him. Then I saw him. He looked breathtaking, indescribably good, I choked on a happy sob and I saw Tyler pat his back, proud, as he sat down. The priest began the ceremony, this was it.
Amber's POV
Where was she?! Oh no! She has to arrive! Craig,oh Craig, he was sobbing to himself though didn't stop looking at us. My heart raced, my mind whirred. David was staring into my heart, claiming it his forever. "Does anyone have an objection of these marriages, speak now, or forever hold your peace." The priest spoke, the place was silent but...

Eve's POV
"I have an objection! They can't be married! Not unless I can marry my Craig!" A gasp. Craig jumped from his seat and looked me up and down in disbelief,"You came back! And you look fantastic!"
"Craig, I'm sorry, I was so stubborn. I love you." I choked,
"I love you too." We walked arm in arm up the aisle, the priest nodded,"Ok! Let us continue."
Time Skip
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, and husband and husband. You may kiss the bride, and groom." And we did. A passionate, welcoming kiss, like our souls became one. A single being, a single love for each other. Jonathan and Evan dashed inside to 'commemorate' their marriage. And while David and Amber were crying and being general emotional wrecks, Craig and I headed to our favourite edge of the lake. The sun glowed over the water striking our faces in golden light. I was home.
3rd Person POV
Eve grabbed Craig's hands, they glanced at each other awkwardly. Craig was the first to speak,"But why?"
"It was too much, you thank Amber for inviting me here." Eve was crying as she spoke.
"I don't believe it, I thought I was nothing to you."
"You are everything to me. Ok? Don't ever forget that?"
"But don't you want escape, freedom."
"Yes, but I have forever for that. Let's focus on today, tomorrow is tomorrow. And I go back and change today, but I can start today and change tomorrow."
"Ok,"
"And today, I want to be your wife, the one who has your heart, and you have mine."
"I like that."
And so, they kissed. The world faded into a long dream and they held each other in the sun's embrace...
